2017 festival

I hope Arcade Fire don't do it, I'd be inclined to go, and then I'd just feel terrible the entire time I was there. I feel the opposite way about Fall Out Boy, though, I think they'd suit it so much.

Yeah a headliner and sub from 2 years prior won't be headlining. Unless it was a joke or something or you actually did think it was Download thread.

Kasabian - dead certs IMO

Jack White - got a hunch idk why

Royal Blood - reckon they'll drop album #2 in 2016 and conclude their touring of that with a headline slot at R&L]

failing that Biffy Clyro / Foo Fighters / Paramore / Arcade Fire would not surprise me

We are still in 2015 surely you can not speculate until we have received 2016 line up then can speculate to see who is not playing in 2016 plus alot can happen in music in a year!

Arcade Fire, The xx

I thought for a minute there you meant it would be just some generic band with 'The' in front of them. There were loads of them a few years back.

Muse in the playing after last years Glasto slot.

Royal Blood if big enough

Biffy Clyro

i reckon Kasabian would do after fests after a new album first, Paramore are always likely, as are Green Day after a new album....

People keep saying R&L always have a headliner that did Glastonbury the previous year and Muse are expected at Glastonbury this year.

I assume they'll have finished touring by Summer 2017, though.

People are idiots. Muse have headlined twice already, it's not as if they need to play Glasto to be booked again.

Yes there's no way the'd have some shitty XFM indie* band playing too high on the main stage after playing the previous year.

And Royal Blood headlining? You're on crack.

I wasn't actually being deadly serious and of course they don't need it, but without going into the dreaded patterns word, it makes sense and has been the case that a successful Glasto slot has prompted RnL to book that same act for the year after.

I can see Muse playing an end of tour / one off at Reading and Leeds next year definitely

I wouldn't be surprised, but I doubt it'll be influenced by how/if they perform at Glasto.
