sergiu
Which is your favorite international festival? I mean one that you would buy a package right away (accommodation, festival ticket & flight). And how much would you be willing to pay for it? TheNewUnion
The two on my list are NOS (formerly Optimus) Alive in Portugal. Reason being, regardless of lineup, I have a week long holiday in the sun sit on the beach all day then hop on the train to the festival at night. Just like a normal holiday, with better nightlife. It's also very cheap with the weeks holiday about £350 and the festival ticket under £100. Other is Pukkelpop in Belgium. Like the convenience, lineup normally very good, only need 3 days off work. Cheap flights, cheap accommodation if you book early local town is nice enough for a few beers and a meal, locals are sound. They are the only ones I have done though, so no surprise I rate them. ourkid1984
I like Rock Werchter for the amount of big names and the atmosphere has always been good especially in the bars along side the road. For the combined package of price, line up and atmosphere I also really rate Southside in Germany. I liked Pukklepop but the camp site was too crowded and I was just fortunate to camp in the disabled area where it was much more humane. TheNewUnion
Also, if you want something a bit different then Life Is Beautiful in Vegas is good. Right in downtown, surrounded by casino's and focused on music, food and art. Plus, it's in Vegas.
redstar99
Coachella, just unbeatable for me. Line up, the way its run, super clean facilties, vibe, set up, great choice and very reasonable cost of food/drinks, weather, has the lot. ourkid1984
How much does Coachella cost? I looked a few years ago and from what I could work out it looked expensive that was even before flights.
lightning1000
I did Coachella in 06 and I spent around £1600 but that was with a day in the states either side of the fest. I'd assume with inflation you'd be looking at over 2000 now. Unless you could get cheap flights. sergiu
What about festivals in EE? There are some popular festivals with good ratings, like Outlook in Croatia or Sziget in Hungary.
DaveTe
My favourite festivals are Outlook, Dimensions and Sziget. I attended them several times, and I would go again for any price.
