I always remember the weather more than any particular acts for any year. That can't be a good thing.

Struggled to come up with a top five this year. The first three are easy:

Mothership Returns

Patti Smith

Hot Chip

The order keeps changing but going in I would have expected those three. After that there are a lot of people who were technically brilliant and I really enjoyed but my energy levels or mood weren't quite there to get fully onto it enough to make top five (The Fall, Father John Misty, Courtney Barnett) and there were some surprise highlights (The Who, The Water boys) and great fun moments (Motor head, Lionel) and some amazing half sets which I feel would be cheating (Too Many Zooz, PSB). I the end based on my sheer enjoyment my remaining two are

Enjoyed a lot of music this year but fondest memories are wandering about, eating and just enjoying the atmosphere. Perhaps as it should be
