Those fields don’t get that lush green colour from rain alone. Anyone who lives in a rural area like we do is well aware of the stinky slurry spreading season.! It was strange to see back in the fallow year of 2018 when we had a wee holiday in Pilton that the spring ground down to the JP was a field of cereal . So different from seeing it full of tents. If the super high resolution image parts don't exist, or can't be downloaded for some reason, it downloads the "default" resolution instead. Note: I can't be bothered to make it look nicer 😀 (I've had to use an open CORS proxy because the server responses for the older high resolution part images don't have the Access-Control-Allow-Origin header set. This seems to be an oversight, because recent snapshots have Access-Control-Allow-Origin set to allow all origins, as do the redirect URLs for the old images - but the response when retrieving the final URL does not. The CORS proxy is a bit of a fudge, and it's limited to 5 requests per second so it might not work properly sometimes.) this is particularly excellent for anyone wondering what time the campsites fill up / trying to persaude their mates the genuine necessity to set off that extra hour earlier

When it comes to some of the more popular campsites that are in shot:-9am plenty-10am should be able to find a bit of space here and there-11am your gonna have to search and squeeze in-Midday "How about that spot next to the longdrops?" rebus
I've set up the webcam as an always upto date PC screensaver, bit clunky and I'm sure theres probably better ways of doing it - works for me though so though I'd post it in case its useful to anyone. The screensaver I use is WPanorama from http://www.wpanorama.com/ and is freeware. Its very good and pans the whole webcam image very smoothly. Only real issue is that it works off a locally stored file rather than directly from the internet. So seperately I download the "https://live-image.panomax.com/cams/879/recent_full.jpg" file and then the screensaver uses that. I do it automatically via a cron job on my QNAP Nas (instructions from https://wiki.qnap.com/wiki/Add_items_to_crontab ). 6-59/5 * * * * wget -q https://live-image.panomax.com/cams/879/recent_full.jpg -O /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/Photos/Glastonbury/recent_full.jpg --no-check-certificate Above works perfectly, the webcam seems to update every 5 mins with a small delay, so I download at 6 mins past the hours then 11/16 etc, the above cron job achieves that On windows you could also use something like "https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/seqdownload.html" which is a small app that auto downloads a file multiple times. Its nice that everytime my screensaver kicks in it displays the latest webcam image and pans the image. Ideally I'd have a screensaver that would download from the url every time it activates and theres probably one out there but I couldn't find one. blutarsky
This is AMAZING @Cheesey! Unfortunately the woods means I can't find my tent in 2019 - it's roughly where the red x is through the trees.
