Pacha Festival 2015

Never been to Pacha Festival but been to a few others in Amsterdam. Not sure what sort of music you and your mates are into, and whether you have any flexibility over dates, but there's a few other festivals in and around Amsterdam I'd look at ahead of this.

There's http://www.welcometothefuture.nl/festival/line-up which is on 25th July. A lot of house and techno but some great names and the venue is supposed to be really nice.

Loveland are a big promoter in Holland and their flagship festival is on 8th August - http://lovelandfestival.com/lineup/. Loads of huge techno and underground house DJs on the line up.

One of the longest running festivals in Holland is Mysteryland and that takes place on 29th and 30th August - http://www.mysteryland.nl/en/. Works out a bit more expensive than the others but there's about 15 stages to choose from each day. It's the same promoters as Tomorrowland in Belgium so you know what you're getting!!

Dance Valley used to be the biggest festival in Holland but it's kind of lost its way of late - http://dancevalley.com/. Takes place on 1st August and tbf the line up looks half decent this year.

If you fancy something a bit more left-field then have a look at Pitch Festival on 3rd and 4th July - http://pitchfestival.nl/line-up/. Bit of a mix of bands and DJs but loads of great stuff on offer.

My own personal choice though would be one of these two:

Awakenings Festival - 27th and 28th June: http://www.awakeningsfestival.nl/line-up/.

Went to Awakenings in 2012 and, if you're into techno, it's one of the best festivals in the world. There's 8 stages (including two massive outdoor Main Stages) and the production, sound and line ups are always amazing. They've broadened the music a bit this year to include some house but it's a techno paradise really. I'd go every year if I could.

Dekmantel Festival - 30th July to 2nd August: http://www.dekmantelfestival.com/program/.

It's only been running for a few years (the promoters have been putting on nights in Amsterdam for quite a while though) but in that time it's gained massive respect and a reputation for the quality and depth of the line ups. Probably the smallest out of all the ones I've listed (think it was around 10,000 last year), it's mostly techno and house but the line up reads like a 'who's who' of both scenes. Most festivals in Holland run from 10/11am to 11pm but this one has a night programme at the Melkweg, which is also a great venue. If you're open minded and up for a full on weekend of hedonism then this would be the best choice imo - I'd love to go!

Hope this helps but give me a shout if you've got any questions?
