5co77ie
so "only UK live appearance" was a lie?
the wonderwhy
so "only UK live appearance" was a lie? Is that what Reading are claiming? Maybe not in that case, I assumed they only had 'festival' exclusivity and the Beeb would obviously work around that.
LondonTom
But they are playing in the Stopover in Scotland aren't they? And at last count, the scots didn't want to leave
Rose-Colored Boy
Is that what Reading are claiming? nope Melvin was quoted as saying it will be "their first UK performance in over two years" - which is a lie, they played secret shows at Glastonbury 2014 - and the bottom of the press release claimed they are an "England and Wales festival exclusive", which in previously years has not affected bands being booked for R1BW one bit. Pretty sure the glasto secret shows were actually members of the band playing with the likes of haim, not an actual Mumford and sons show

kingcrawler
When does the ticket details get announced? soonish or mid April? Doubt it'll be too far away, tickets went on sale at the end of March last year.
Stuart1000
Ticket details announced tomorrow. Priority for people with a Norwich postcode and then people living in Cambridgeshire, Peterborough, Colchester or Ipswich. Dom Wall
What we saying for other headliner? Foos have had 'congregation' on the playlist for a while and start a tour the next week; Kanye has had 45Seconds on and All Day has just been put on the playlist + promo for Glasto?; Mumford because it's Mumford? Can't imagine Mumford doing it. Foos or Kanye would both make sense. Could imagine someone like Eminem tbh
Stuart1000
It's 100% Foo Fighters. They've had at least one song on the A-list section of the Playlist since the album was released. Last time that happened was last year when Katy Perry had Roar, Dark Horse and Birthday on one after the other (and then she was announced to headline). There's no other reason for them to keep the Foos there for that long.
