What is the biggest difference between choosing an act to play Latitude and choosing an act to play R&L?

why (imminently) close the forum? Is it a move away from the 'more mature' type who dont like facebook/twitter etc and towards the young uns? Can it be REALLY that expensive for a forum to stay up & be maintained?
