This is earth to Ben, earth to Ben, are you receiving, over? All we want, no 'need' to know is that you are safe and well. Have tried every angle to contact bar this one, to the best of my knowledge.  K & S xxx.

Oh Yog?

How shit am I? Quite genuinely, yesterday, I was thinking that I must drop you a line. In my head, I'd responded to your last message. Whilst you are one of my wonky pals, I have no doubt that you are correct and that I am a terrible friend...

So funny/cool that you managed to get hold of me though this lovely place.

Consider an email incoming...

Hello Ben,

I must have deleted your last response to me, as I certainly didn't read it. It was for this reason that we were so concerned for you. And no, no you are not a terrible friend. You must be mentally busy with your work, I'd say.

The above said, I'm still scratching my head as to whether to take umbrage or not about being described as 'wonky'! I mean, deep down, I know that you are right - it's just that the sense of denial is strong in me. :)

Spent some time thinking about my favourite electronic tracks from this year. I know for some it'll have been the last thing people want to listen to in these times, as reminders of times so good can be a touch demoralising, but I think this year has resulted in some wonderful music. It's been a shame not being able to dance with my mates to it, but I've became acceptant and at ease with these times,  with a refreshed vigor for days ahead thanks to the overwhelming wonders of science.

Here's some of my favourite tracks from this year, in no particular order as that's too much effort;

Jacques Green, Fort Romeau - Night Service Fort Romeau Remix

Jayda G- Both of Us

HAAi - Head Above The Parakeets

Chrissy, Carrie Wilds - So I Go Dancing

Holy Fuck, Palms Trax - Deleters Palms Trax Remix

Francis White - Honey Extended Mix

Fort Romeau, Sunscreem - Annadin

MJ Cole, Shanti Celeste - Dizzy New Heights Shanti Remix

Overmono - Everything You Need

Dua Lipa, Midland - Pretty Please Midland Refix

Daniel Avery - Dusting For Smoke

Zenker Brothers - Outside

Karenn - On Request

Krystal Klear - One Night At PBar

Jex Opolis - What Am I Gonna Do?

Four Tet - Baby

In the spirit of this year I've gone with 15 instead of 10, because who tf does anything normally any more. There's nothing too leftfield you're going to find on Soundcloud with 1 stream, but hope a couple people find something new that hadn't heard this year. Take it easy ✌️

I'll add to my list as and when I think of something. A great year, all things considered, such a shame we couldn't enjoy it on a dancefloor, in a field or on a beach.

Marsh & Nox Vahn - Come Together

Phibes - Third Dimension

Push - Strange World (Joyhauser Remix)

Dillinja - Hard Noize (Break Remix)

Lookee - That Feeling

ShockOne - Follow Me

Deekline & Specimen A - Titanic

SIRS - Night Wind

Phibes - Soundboy Killer

Henry Saiz - Cry If You Want To

Julian Winding - Mascare

Ray Keith - Renegade (T>I Minimal VIP)

High Contrast - A Mind Forever Voyaging

Forgive the random question.. did anyone find out where Bicep where due to play? There was loads of talk of them playing the park. Maybe headlining (Jamie xx style) but then didn't appear on park playlist?

Bump for this question. Anyone know?

Jayda and Overmono for me as well, the breakdown in Both of Us with the speed change is gonna hit differently whenever we finally get to hear it out properly ❤️

The event Blawan played was legal in the country it was in and had the usual safety measures in place - such as distancing, masks and temperature checks (see event info below). Does this really qualify as a 'plague rave'?

Meltdown of a reaction from him though, not a PR man it seems.

Since I've posted again for the first time in a while...

...for those like me who love their techno to be:

- a bit less bang crash wallop and a bit more hypnotic

- at a tempo that lets the tracks breathe and lets you sink into your mesmerised dancing, rather than the frenetic 135-139bpm so popular with producers atm...

Very nice. I'm sure you envisage yourself in a sweaty techno dungeon front and centre but that has sunset/sunrise vibes for me
