Sketchead
Surprised at Disclosure and Rudimental doing Parklife given the Wildlife festival Nonetheless Parklife actually looks great this year I think, it's a place I've never been, always been put off my reports of the crowd People die and nothing gets done about it, cracking atmosphere. Musically it's pretty good though.

Doesn't quite sound like the kind of festival I'm interested in, shame their line up is top
jonodillieono
It wasn't 'that' bad when I went 2 years ago, obviously knobs around but I didn't really see any trouble at all and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm right in the demographic for it though...

DJL
The chems are a strong rumour now... Nice. I must say i didn't think bestival made them less likely - but maybe that's just wishful thinking.
FloorFiller
well shit i guess i may be wrong then - although don't think i've ever been so happy to be wrong. would've loved them to be up against Coldplay, but that happened in '11, so up against Foos please (or, if she's headlining, Flo)
FloorFiller
So any night really? yep any night except wherever Taylor Swift is (although that's probably the most likely outcome of the bunch)
EZYSEY
Bestival lineup is looking strong. Hope Jamie XX brings his live performance to Glasto.

The Placid Casual
There's not many acts I'd see over the Chems, I hope there's some good beef (with gravy) to this strong rumour

Think student freshers week mixed with aggressive lads who go the gym too much and get fake tans. Time Being
Last night on Flying Lotus' BBC residency show, the Gaslamp Killer said that he is touring with a band this summer and that there were some European festivals that he was not allowed to mention yet that he will be playing, so that is a possiblity. jonodillieono
Anybody like Mumbai Science? They play put live at all? Where to start with them? I know Lotus and I really like that but I don't know anything else
WS_Jack_III
Where to start with them? I know Lotus and I really like that but I don't know anything else i got the album a month back, it's good but some of the tracks leave you scratching your head and wondering why they are on there. I like the song Control, it reminds me of Horse Power by The Chemical Brothers.

As discussed a couple of pages back, he's supposedly an exclusive for Bestival (I say "supposedly" as these exclusive claims often turn out to be pretty bogus). Doesn't bother me much tbh. His new album is too much like the Fast Show's Jackson Jeffrey Jackson for comfort:

Apart from that I agree with you.
Time Being
Yeah I was talking about Gaslamp Killer, sorry if the wording was confusing. Too bad about Fly Lo being a Bestival exclusive though. His shows are fun
FuzzyDunlop
Only been to one parklife. (Ian Brown at platt fields) The crowd were awful and by all accounts they have got worse. Heaton Park is about 1 and half miles from my house, the line up is decent, but I have sod all interest. Manchester crowds are often full of a certain type of idiot, one I don't often see in most cities. Think: Danny Dyer meets Liam Gallagher, they all go to the gym a lot, snort a lot of "beak" and think manchester is the entire universe. I will probably get shit for this but in my experience it's a northern thing. Creamfields has a similar feeling but as it's a bit more 'experienced' in putting on festivals i have never felt overly uncomfortable there. I did nearly write "creamfields has a similar problem". Leeds and Sheffield don't have the problems whenever I've been there. It's mass events in Manchester and Liverpool from my experience.
