neil999
i wish people would stop with their reasonable arguments to disprove me... still think a band like them could wangle with a promotoer to play glastonbury, maybe they are mid-wangle

FloorFiller
Anyone reckon they've been booked for BST? hadn't thought of that. maybe they have and it falls directly in the middle of Glastonbury (on the Saturday) and didn't want to do two huge shows in two days (haven't seen their tour itinerary so unsure whether they usually play shows on consecutive days)

Justiceforcedave
Anyone reckon they've been booked for BST? I hope not! Hyde Park is such a pile of shite venue. Any outdoor gig where there's a special area for rich folk to get the best view stinks in my opinion. Seated gigs, the best ones will always cost more but standing should be a free for all
eFestivals
don't forget, metallica were an exclusive for soni.Any lies are possible.

Zoo Music Girl
Just on the BST thing, at The National/Neil Young date you could wander right up to the front on a bog-standard standing ticket. I know because I did it. So they differ.

danbailey80
The worst sound I have ever experienced at hyde park and the security are inept and incredibly rude. Fucking discrace that venue.
russycarps
blur were ok there on their first comeback gig, 2009 or whenever it was. Then the olympic thing they did was truly dreadful. Arcade fire sound was appalling too. Sad really, as it could be good. Matt42
I can't remember a time where Michael eavis had publically ruled out a band, and they've headlined anyway... Unless there's a time I'm clearly wrong, when Michael says something specific (like *** are not headlining) they usually don't.
neil999
Sound is generally shite though, yeah. and the atmosphere is dreadful...people just chatting the whole way through, and its a nightmare getting anywhere from hyde park i'd never to go to a gig there again Edited November 6, 2014 by neil999
The Nal
They cut the maximum decibel level in Hyde Park from a pathetically low 75dB to 73dB!! As a comparison, a TV at normal volume is about 71dB. As is the average vacuum cleaner. A dishwasher is slightly higher. My food blender runs at 88dB! What do they bother having gigs there?!
