Help: Travel from Bristol Airport to Festival (Friday 1pm)

Hey guys,

One of the members of our party won't be arriving at Bristol Airport until 12.30pm Friday (The rest of us will be arriving Tuesday).

National Express have a coach leaving at 12.30pm also but being realistic he won't make this. The next isn't until 2.30pm.

Any advice on strategy for this poor lad? Taxi? Taxi/Train? Other buses running?

Any suggestions appreciated!!

There is a train from Bristol to Castle Cary at 14.22 by the looks of it which takes an hour and a half then you get the shuttle bus from Castle Cary to festival. Probably quicker than the coach but need to be aware that Bristol airport is not in the city centre its about 20-25mins taxi away from the train station and centre.

You could get a taxi but would be a three figure taxi fare to the festival from the airport!

There is a shuttle bus that operates from the airport to Bristol City Centre via Temple Meads. See here.

Cheaper than a taxi and you could then get either the train from Temple Meads to Castle Cary or the bus from Temple Meads direct to the festival site: info here

Taxi from airport to festival site / bath and west show grounds is approx £50.
