I reckon I can borrow 4 laptops from work and an overhead projector, then get me and 3 mates to dress up as twits, stand behind said laptops and press play on one of them

No need to acknowledge the crowd at all, just a polite "Danke Schoen" as the end

Couple of pear ciders and a growler, that's all I will need. Jobs a good'un

I don't know if I even want to know who is replacing...

Just going to make you my councillor for a second

Bit down at the moment as I'm coming to the end of my A2 exams, and pretty much all my mates have already finished and my last one is on Friday (day before blur at Hyde woo) but yeah it just sucks because everyone else seems free and I feel like I have a ball and chain around my neck :(

Sounds mad but foos pulling out increased the size of the ball :(

It is a pain in the arse Matt but at least now you could go sample something new that you weren't expecting rather than Foos who you've (assumably) seen before and will be able to see again next year. And one of the great things about Glasto is opening your mind up to something new. Plus, your exams will be over shortly and you'll be able to celebrate properly at the festival too.

You have two days of revision, an exam, and then you're free for the whole summer. You have Blur, and Glasto to look forward to. Stop feeling sorry for yourself... In a few years when you have to spend the entire summer working, you will realise how lucky you are right now!

Just think of the freedom you will get once your exams are finished! I had the same when I was doing my A2 exams, in so much as most of my close mates didn't do A-Levels, this was 12 years ago now though, so I may have suffered from the same angst!

Which exam have you got left?

Like Jo Balls just said in 5 years time you wont remember the painfulness of this week, but the awesomeness of next you will :)

Ha and then when you get a bit older and have kids, you may not even get the festival and gigs :D

Edit that is not from experience yet (thankfully) but i know other people in that postition!

One more Law Exam (I've done two) want to do English then probably a conversion to Law at uni so it's pretty important! I've worked hard though so I hope it works out well :D

The fact you have this much of a plan already is good. You seem switched on so wont have any problems.

Plus I know you have probably heard this loads of times but exams really aren't the be all and end all, the person is far more important to employers. Its all stepping stones at the end of the day

Yeah thanks guys I shouldn't be whining!

I'm so excited for Glastonbury this year though! Regardless if Grohl is joining us it's gonna be one to remember!

Try holding down a job at the same time as 24-hr efestivalling the fortnight before Glastonbury!  If I don't get sacked this week for timewasting it'll be a miracle!

I had the same plans after my A-Levels. I did do english, but decided against Law.

    • I love this festival but Mordor has got worse and worse to the point now that I dread going there. 10 years ago there just weren’t as many people, as many bottlenecks and there wasnt the need to arrive early to have a decent spot.
    • Aren't they against touring?
    • If my memory serves me right, it was the other way round - when PS 2022 lineup was released it was already confirmed that she plays Barcelona in May.
    • Cheers! And yep looks identical to Green day's scheduling
    • Reading all the feedback with interest.  If there are now 75,000 tickets officially sold, plus who knows how many more people blagging in - then on the Friday evening and Saturday in particular, it's not ridiculous to suggest there's 50,000 people at Mordor, which is a stadium gig - except with much worse sight lines, an inferior PA, and far less bars and toilets. The Thursday evening in 2022 was of course infamous but on the Friday night for Beck I was trapped about 150m from the stage, surrounded by chatters, and with no prospect of getting nearer the stage.  With hindsight that was when I realised the fest had one way or another fundamentally changed.  Also noting on Reddit that some folk didn't enjoy the Cure or Gorillaz because the sets were "too long".  In future bands may be better received if they actually just play their top 10 Spotify songs then get back off the stage.
