Definitely! Part of the joy is staring gormlessly at most of the line-up, going away, doing a bit of research, finding someone you like, going to their gig, finding it's someone you love, then being a big fan. I love that process!

I know its part of my glasto experience before I even go! still small matter of getting my ticket yet though lol

Why do people keep saying "not over Easter" or "Easter is in the way". I don't understand. Is it unheard of to release info over an Easter break? After all, the deposit paying service won't be shut over that time.

it's rare for any festival to announce over a normal weekend. In 15 years of being sat here I can't remember any festival announcing anything over easter (tho I guess it might have happened).

Weekends are simply less effective at disseminating information, because people are doing 'fun' things and so are engaging with media less.

It's not impossible that they'll announce over Easter weekend, but don't go expecting it.

As always, I'm deferring to you on this, Neil.

I know you've probably said already, but do you have a prediction as to when the third headliner / line up / poster will be released?

I keep looking at the 'thingy'* and it seems everyone is a bit premature this year.

Dear Neil,

Please take this as my letter of resignation. As much as I have enjoyed being here I feel it is getting the better of me and I am currently half the man I was when I signed up. My eyes are tired, my body is weak, my wife has left me, and my children have disowned me.

Thanks for the memories.

Unless as I believe Neil has hinted at the "she could be" relates to her being ready to step up should they not get P*****.

I don't know that's the case, but it seems to be the only thing which really seems to fit everything now - so I reckon that's what we're getting.

you think that's what we're getting as in Flo has stepped up to headliner or that the situation still stands with her subbing Prince?

    • I love this festival but Mordor has got worse and worse to the point now that I dread going there. 10 years ago there just weren’t as many people, as many bottlenecks and there wasnt the need to arrive early to have a decent spot.
    • Aren't they against touring?
    • If my memory serves me right, it was the other way round - when PS 2022 lineup was released it was already confirmed that she plays Barcelona in May.
    • Cheers! And yep looks identical to Green day's scheduling
    • Reading all the feedback with interest.  If there are now 75,000 tickets officially sold, plus who knows how many more people blagging in - then on the Friday evening and Saturday in particular, it's not ridiculous to suggest there's 50,000 people at Mordor, which is a stadium gig - except with much worse sight lines, an inferior PA, and far less bars and toilets. The Thursday evening in 2022 was of course infamous but on the Friday night for Beck I was trapped about 150m from the stage, surrounded by chatters, and with no prospect of getting nearer the stage.  With hindsight that was when I realised the fest had one way or another fundamentally changed.  Also noting on Reddit that some folk didn't enjoy the Cure or Gorillaz because the sets were "too long".  In future bands may be better received if they actually just play their top 10 Spotify songs then get back off the stage.
