RIP. Read her last book relatively recently. Not massively revelatory or anything and she was always too classy to really dish serious dirt but its an interesting insight into Lennon. Particularly around the mid 60s. Just pre Yoko. A lazy amoral fucker.

She had a lot of dignity and class, did Cynthia.

And - i feel - been judged far too harshly in some quarters for remarrying more than once.

Male chauvinistic claptrap.

My mum is a fuckin' fantastic source for early Beatles goss' / info. and - like 'the secretaries who used to go to the Cavern' (before when it was packed out, as in the photo, for cheap soup 'n' a roll at lunchtimes) who the Beatles 'lost' with Sgt Pepper, is to this day still perplexed that Lennon ditched such a devoted wife...even though Cynthia has pretty much said she could see it coming / knew when - symbolically - it had happened.

So... that's it

tomorrow is the only day it can come out (during balance week).

I'm really really worried Neil is right and we aren't getting it till late april :(

why why why why can't they just announce a slither of acts.. like last year! I'd be fine with about a handful of officially confirmed acts! :(

I've just been looking through last years full line up, there were so many bands I didn't get to see.

My point being, stop worrying, there's nothing else like it and there will be loads to see.

Relax.

I don't know if it's been said before but I think they could be holding everything back because we've got idiots starting online petitions and creating massive hysteria over an act we don't even have to watch..we normally have more than we do now acts wise

I still say Shaun Keaveny Radio 6 tomorrow.

That cotton woman leaving (yay)

Zane Lowe gone

Annie Mac touring or whatever

Soooo my totally unscientific conclusion is Shaun because he will be doing a set this year and tomorrow becausetodays focus has been 1st day of balance payment.

Oh and these 2 posts above adds to my hunch that i did first say on monday

I've been before, and I know.

It's just annoying

Could they actually book Prince after he got annoyed at them last time they tried to?....

http://www.nme.com/news/prince/78068

I'm going with Florence or stone roses

Is everybody that thinks it's prince just discounting the fact that he got annoyed at them last time?

I'm convinced it's tomorrow morning at 8am. I don't believe Mark Knopfler is on the show until 9am, although may be wrong?

So 8am would give them enough time to chat line up then move on to dire straits etc at 9.

What time was it last year? I was in Paris so can't remember.

8am, but we were given that tweet so we kinda knew.

    • I am as well not a fan of these side by side stages. too many people at the same places and you have always people around you who wait for the other stage...
    • If only they could get the Bits area back (and add maximum 5k capacity) the site would feel less crowded.
    • Blame it on the side-by-side setup. There are cases where it works well - got a great location in front of the middle screen for Bexter Dury-Big Thief-Little Simz, just had to move about 20 meters each time for a great location. But on most cases it sucks
    • was happy to swerve the main stages on Saturday, but thought it was fine for The Cure, we just went down the opposite side & got a decent spot close to the front, everyone into it (admittedly a bit off to the side)   a festival that now books Olivia Rodrigo as a surprise set isn't going to get any smaller, for better or for worse it is miles apart from when I was first going   personally I still find the people amazing, never have any hassle & the line ups are always so strong & diverse.  We will definitely return for the 25th anniversary next year!
    • I love this festival but Mordor has got worse and worse to the point now that I dread going there. 10 years ago there just weren’t as many people, as many bottlenecks and there wasnt the need to arrive early to have a decent spot.
