Trebor
Please let's have the NFR NFC thread separate to this. Having said that, it's probably too early for this thread anyway!
Yoghurt on a Stick
Now, if I could just get a goat that's got itself caught up like this one, it would make the sacrifice that little bit easier. For me that is, not the goat. Edited April 1, 2014 by Yoghurt on a Stick
jeffie
I do think we should take this to the bright side...
Yoghurt on a Stick
I do think we should take this to the bright side... Spoken like a true Jedi. I'll certainly change my course on the strength of that.
JoBalls
The thing is, even if on the Tuesday of the festival the weatherman is saying it's going to be wall to wall sunshine, we still will all pack for rain anyway because the forecasters can't be sure what the weather will be like in 2 days time. So, I think any "forecast" now should be taken with a large bucket of salt!
matt_berr
http://www.netweather.tv/index.cgi?action=longrange;sess= long range is not great for June but good for July - seeing as Glasto is almost July - its going to be dry
Field Commander Jefferson
How long to go until we're hanging on 'mystic' Jackone's every daily forecast again?! Edited April 15, 2014 by Field Commander Jefferson
Dog Burger
Absolute frothing maniacs! Forecasting the weather beyond next week is more or less a waste of time, never mind two months in advance.

Forecasting the weather beyond next week is more or less a waste of time, never mind two months in advance. What are you on about?!?! Don't you remember that 3 months of constant snow we had this winter that was foretasted AT LEAST a month in advanced....
A13
The rain on Thursday last year was really good - got rid of all the dust. Hoping for some rain again this year please!

I see from your signature that 1997, 1998 and 2007 are not forever seared on your memory. You have much to learn.

JoBalls
Some of the papers are running the annual "it's going to be the hottest summer on record" story today... To be followed up in a couple of weeks with the annual "it's going to be a washout" story. As usual I presume what we will get is a summer with some hot days and some rainy ones. Obviously with a mini heat wave from June 23rd - July 1st.
CaledonianGonzo
I'd have more confidence in JackOne if he hadn't completely misread the tealeaves regarding the downpour that hit on the Thursday of last year.
Pinhead
Yes, Jackone - or should that be Jackten now(?) - let the speculation begin and the juices of meteorological anticipation flow unhindered....

Greenelk
I'd have more confidence in JackOne if he hadn't completely misread the tealeaves regarding the downpour that hit on the Thursday of last year. I wouldn't say he completely misread it though, he posted on the Wednesday that out of the blue, it looked like there was going to be moderate rain on the Thursday. It just shows that long range forecasting is bloody hard to get right
