al_coholic
Amazing. Ellie was fantastic. Most of the crowd probably didn't know the drama
SCG95
Incredible set and energy, especially considering the circumstances.

Matt42
Just adding another comment here to say I loved it. You felt their relief that they made it.
nikkic
That was one of the most emotional sets I’ve ever felt at Glastonbury. First band I’d seen this weekend where you could tell they genuinely love the place. The fact it meant the world to them seeped into the crowd. One of the best sets I’ve ever seen on The Pyramid. maelzoid
I liked the bit when the guitarist fell over. Between that, Haim’s 10ft salamis and Chris Lowe being trapped behind a video screen, this was the most Spinal Tap Glastonbury yet.
kemosabe
Just the perfect emotionally charged set. Can't think of many better i've seen on the Pyramid. I think they're one big album away from hitting a massive headline slot and i'm there for it.
Furq
I seem to be the only fan who was underwhelmed. I missed the first few tracks, but didn't see Ellie engaging with the crowd until the last song. Missed an obvious lyric switch in Delicious Things too. "Would you believe I'm at Glastonbury?" (Pretty poorly attended too, I thought)
joeltg
I was working but could hear them all the way up at Gate B, I almost became one of the runners!
BrandoTrillkor17
If Wolf Alice don't headline a main stage (JP, Other) in the next two years there is no justice. Deserved to be bumped to where Sam Fender replaced Doja Cat.

It’s not where the industry is going.

Wolf Alice had a pretty modest crowd. Wolf Alice are fantastic and I enjoyed it, but the numbers aren’t there. They don’t have the momentum behind them that other acts do. It’s not about fairness it’s about business.

Could definitely see them getting Other headliner next time round.

Could definitely see them getting Other headliner next time round. I think a lot of people here think that becoming a headliner is a matter of fairness, which unfortunately it isn’t. The festival is in the business of handing out headline slots to acts who have worked very hard despite falling short of the commercial success needed for the job. It may have been what they did in the 00’s, but we are in a different world now. Foals have played absolutely everywhere for years and they do a good job with their live set, that means they MUST headline because that’s what’s fair. Unfortunately it’s not how it works. Saying an act will never headline is often interpreted here as a dig at the band too, which it isn’t, it’s just an observation of what’s happening. It’s also acknowledging that there is more to what makes a headliner than how good they are live. Also with the sheer size of headliners Glastonbury can pull now, I can’t see them taking the chance on a band clearly not big enough ever again. Any act they take a chance on will be an act sure to become a headliner at some point, but maybe giving it to them earlier than we expect (Billie for example being given the gig as a punt that Happier Than Ever would be massive).
