alframsey
Kasabian are a terrible headline act regardless of what anyone says, such a shit middle of the road band and they make my face ache. Good job we have elsewhere to go...
GlastoSimon
I don't remember a year with so many wild rumours and so little confirmed as next year
JoBalls
So I guess the question is, does Q Magazine know something we don't? Presumably they have contacts at Glasto HQ...

Andeeroo
There's also quite a big article with Kasabian in the magazine with a Glastonbury mention. "They're also among the favourites to headline this year's Glastonbury ('Roll the dice, mate,' says Meighan, 'I've had no phone call yet so I can't say anything, but I love that festival.')" Clears it up then. They're in the bag but have not had a phone call.
zico martin
doesnt that read as a simple 'come and get us' plea then? they do seem like a logical if uninspired choice so i wouldnt complain but might then expect too much as a third headliner
eFestivals
thanks, but ... erm ... the point of posting it was so that it can be read.
pancakes
It just says that it's been said that kasabian will be joining arcade fire and that sonisphere band metallica are rumoured to be performing also. It mentions Prince as well. It's very brief and tbh I think all theyve done is look on here for that info.

CHRLY
What a joke of an article Prince vs Metallica on Sunday? Never thought I'd say those words
Anarion
Would love to watch Kasabian headline. They put on a better show than most and their best songs are just perfect for big festivals. Especially if they have a new album coming out soon
Spindles
Metallica on the other stage seems like a real curveball. I had them down as the kind of egos that would only play the top slot at a festival.

Justiceforcedave
But what will people complain about if arguably the biggest metal band in the world play Glastonbury?

addicted2noise
I've yet see them live but even with 4 albums I still don't think they have enough big songs to headline.
monkey1989
yeah i dont think id watch, i saw them when i was younger before Oasis at heaton park and they seemed really into it i just find them a little dull now HOWEVER i did quite like the look of the hard rock calling setlist and think peope hate on them a little to much there harmless Edited December 30, 2013 by monkey1989
addicted2noise
I wouldn't actually mind them headlining though, they do seem to come across better live.
alframsey
It seems people say they're better live so it might work, I definitely wouldn't watch them though only because I hate their music on the whole. Not a fan of 'lad rock' tbh.
FloorFiller
Kasabian fucked up when they stopped playing Cut Off, which is without a doubt their best song (imo) i put their first album on for the first time the other day and it's not bad at all. some great songs on there. all went downhill after that i feel. i remember the first time i heard Empire (the song) and thinking 'what the fuck happened here?' and then Shoot The Runner / Empire (the album) came and i knew they were a lose cause
dentalplan
Does their assault on the major UK festivals in the past few years really matter to people that might not go to or even follow other UK festivals?
