eFestivals is fund-raising

eFestivals has been here 20 years supporting festivals and festival goers. Without your support it will not continue as it has been.
Advertising used to pay the bills but advertising revenues are much less than they were.

Festivals: if you'd like us to continue to promote your event to our 650,000 monthly readers you'll need to give a helping hand.
Festival-Goers: if every visitor in just one day donated just £2, that would provide funding for a whole year.

Excellent gig. Christ knows how they're going to tour it into a similar way then that with all the strings and guest vocalists, I bet there's a lot of songs they might have to potentially omit due to the lack of backing vocalists and strings. They might need to update their live set up and a few more members.

Just seen while the gig was on, the French station played out their gig from Monday night, so there's good quality versions of pretty much the first set tonight (minus So Far So Fast, which was probably my favourite). Might not want to ruin it too much by listening to live versions but the downloads here;

Really good show, half a dozen new tracks that you would want in any future set. Oblivion, Hey Rosey,  Where is her head, Rylan, Not in Kansas all stood out. They are in danger of becoming Springsteenesque in that they could play a 2-2.5 hour set and you would still walk away saying "but they didn’t play XXX"

Quiet Light and Oblivion’s sounded superb.

Oblivions was an absolute banger.

I think it’s a genuinely different album - the girls bring a very different and refreshing vibe to the whole thing. Not many duds, though I found Quiet Light and Roman Holiday difficult to get excited about

i loved the film (though looking forward to seeing the whole screen next time) and thought the Q&A made it really special - especially the Brazilian girl from the Cherry Tree forum. How good a night did she have?!

Can't be bothered to go through the whole vid at the moment (just gonna wait for the whole album probably) but I really really like Where Is Her Head. Really excited for this album, they're just on a completely different level to pretty much everyone else at this point.

Anybody local or been to the Castlefield Bowl gigs before know what the curfew is and what time the gigs usually finish? Planning in advance here but trying to work out if I'll be able to make the last train to Liverpool (11:30pm) from Deansgate?!

I dont recall them finishing later then 11, I would think you would be fine getting the 11.30 from deansgate as its only a 10 minute walk away

What a thrill. Thought I might have to stump up for a Travelodge but I'm happy with that. Cheers!

It sold out before Everyman / 4AD even shared the details, so you’re not alone.

Just wanted to share this - got my poster from the Southbank gig framed. Really chuffed with it ... :)

Not really feeling this on first listen, hasn't grabbed me instantly like the first two have.

Hopefully it'll grow on me, beyond hyped for the new album still.

Is there any announcement on how I can see the film without having to go to some special event? Will they just chuck it online when the album is out?

I got one of these but haven't gotten round to framing it yet. It is A0 size right if I just get a cheap frame off ebay?
