Bradders
I kinda like Turtleneck, I think. It's been stuck in my head for the last couple of days.
Mash011
turtleneck is a huge banger and I kind of wish there was a version of the national that primarily made stuff like that. not to the extent that I'd trade it for the national that we have, obviously. Amy Lawn
Turtleneck is fine. Can live with it, can live without it. But it's a bit of a stinker of a set closer.

dirty_dog
flying out to Dublin tomorrow to catch em on sunday, gutted I didn't pick Cork now as Bon Iver is on there tonight
kingcrawler
https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/the-national/2017/cork-opera-house-cork-ireland-1be2195c.html Pretty strong setlist, though I'd like to see a couple from Alligator added to it. I hope Wasp Nest sticks around for the Edinburgh gigs. You can watch the whole set here.
Badlands
Ten tracks from SWB last night, still a bit top heavy for me. I'm sure I'll enjoy the gig either way but was hoping for a broader mix of tracks.
scatteredscreens
The real crime is 10 tracks from SWB and not one of them was Dark Side of the Gym
jyoung
Guilty Party with Bon Iver? Wow. Had a skip through and sounds amazing. Can't wait to watch the whole thing. Also personally, I love that they have the confidence in the new songs to play so many! They've bought out a beautiful record, I wanna hear it live! Amy Lawn
If Bon Iver even contemplates showing up at the Apollo on Friday to make cat sounds all the way through Slow Show, I'll punch him right in his International Male Solo Artist's face.

I thought that haha. I'm a big Bon Iver fan and he's great doing backing vocals but less of the random samples please.

russycarps
Christ please tell me there's no chance of these c**ts dueting with the band in London? I've not shelled out a fortune to watch some randoms ruin everything.

Tuna
Only had 3 or 4 listens but it's great. I still haven't had time to stop and sit with the lyrics and fully digest -- hopefully I will by next week.

dirty_dog
watched them last night at Vicar St, cracking venue. Lisa Hannigan joined him on numerous songs but you couldn't really here her. Matt was acting a bit weird, disappeared a couple of times, had to restart a few tracks and then legged it at the end which had Aaron pulling a bemused face. great gig and the crowd loved the new stuff but so much good stuff missing from that setlist, possibly my top 5 of there's where missing.
