There is a massive hole in Lady Gaga's touring schedule in the summer from June 3rd - June 30th. That is a Glastonbury sized hole right there.

Kings Of Leon just announced a massive show at Milton Keynes Bowl on Sun 22nd June, to be followed by a "UK tour throughout June and July."

Surely this puts them on the possibilities list as they haven't done it for a while...

There seems to be a lot of shit acts touring next year around Glasto next year, the absolute best case scenario this year seems to be, arcade fire, elbow and Prince.

hahaha jesus this just gets worse. really do hope that out of the plethora of shit bands touring around Glastonbury next year, Eavis has picked out the good few as headliners (although it does look more and more likely that we'll be getting a shit one who we possibly share with T)

They can only book whose touring and willing to do the festival. I am pretty sure most festivals most years try to get the best acts they can (Be they "original" headliners or not) and to be fair, there doesn't seem to be to many interesting acts that are "big enough" around next year.

I know it's not about the headliners, but I really like to spend at least one night at the Pyramid stage for one big show If the headliners are Kasabian, Kings Of Leon and Arcade Fire (and Pixies on Other Stage clashing with AF) it seems unlikely i'll be drunkenly swaying and singing with thousands of people this year.

I was just wondering, does the whole "they're touring in June" thing really make much of a difference?

I mean, if I was a signer and Eavis asked me to play, I'd be all over that. I wouldn't care if it fitted in with the rest of my tour or my tour is happening in December, not June. The only thing that would stop me would be if a tour date of mine clashed with Glastonbury.
