Arcade Fire

Fantastic news! :)

So many stupid comments on the facebook post though :( :

"Who?"

" I'll be at a very busy other stage then. Hopefully this was to save on the budget for 2 top drawer headliners."

Hopefully that will leave more room for the rest of us to enjoy their set on the pyramid.

Someone did say something about how this means will be having someone "BIG" on Saturday or Sunday then.

I think they have a point, not that Arcade Fire aren't big, but I think by "BIG" they meant someone like Bowie, Led Zep and so on. Bit like how they had the Rolling Stones, Arctics and Mumford. One massive name amongst modern day, easier to get bands.

For any people who are in any doubt how good Arcade Fire are just watch this clip taken from The Graham Norton show at the end of November. They will be brilliant on the Pyramid. The new album is amazing. It's all set up nicely for Arcade Fire to cement themselves as one of the best bands in the world.

I'm not sure about that really. I mean there is a limited pool of artists of that caliber who could headline Glastonbury or indeed would want to headline Glastonbury. Bowie and Led Zeppelin are just not realistic sadly, if they were touring it would be a different matter, but they both look a million miles from that point at the moment.

I think it might be something like Arcade Fire, Prince and maybe another "modern" band. Not two superstars after Arcade Fire.

I think Prince is considered "BIG" :sarcastic:

Yeah, always nice to see a few newer bands given the push to headliner status. Could do with infiltrating the recurrent circle of rubbish we constantly get. (kings of leon, killers, kasabian and that)

Before I get slated for that, I will be somewhere else because that's the beauty of Glastonbury and I understand that. So I'm happy for those that wanted it, but disappointed that it's not someone to go "Wow I get to see...".

Good for you, glad you you took the time to inform of this....now if you don't mind...
