Yet more overpriced Cave merch in coming for those of us who can't get enough:

OUT 20 SEPTEMBER

PRE-ORDER NOW

Faith, Hope and Carnage is an extended conversation between Nick Cave and Observer journalist, Seán O’Hagan, who have known one another for thirty years. Created from over forty hours of intimate recordings, the book examines questions of faith, art, music, freedom, grief and love. It draws candidly on Cave’s life, from his early childhood to the present day, his loves, his work ethic and his dramatic transformation in recent years. From a place of considered reflection, Faith, Hope and Carnage offers ladders of hope and inspiration from a true creative visionary.

The book will be released on 20th September and is available for pre-order now via major and independent retailers.

Well, he needs to add a few more quid to his pension pot...

I'm guessing it's just expanding on some of the issues he tackles in the red hand files?

Looking up the new book I realised that I'd forgotten about the Sick Bag book he did a few years back - did I miss a corker, is it interesting/worthwhile?

I have it and I've read it but I've got to admit it didn't massively stick in my mind, beyond the story about him jumping off a bridge as a child.

I'm a bit of a Cave completist, though. Have ordered the new one.

Anyone watching Peaky Blinders? I thought the Patti Smith cover of red right hand on Sunday's episode was great. Can't find it online anywhere to listen again, hope it gets released.

I wasn’t a fan personally. It was nice to see the song make an appearance in this series at last though.
