2014 Headliner predictions

man i'd love Take That to headline Glastonbury. probably one of the few more poppy acts who could get away with it (although the likelihood of it happening / reception f them doing it is questionable)

If Take That ever played Glasto I'd be absolutely livid! That'd be a very very very poor (horrendous) booking, it'd attract a very much non-festival goers scene.

For a festival in search of Led Zepp Take That (who I have respect for) would take Glasto down the wrong tracks!

I actually wouldn't mind Take That. It'd be a laugh. For me, I like my festival headliners to be acts who I wouldn't pay to watch but would watch them if they were there. Beyonce basically.

Has anyone mentioned Led Zep on here yet? We were speaking to someone in the know at the festival and they said it was already booked, they seemed quite believable but i was quite high at the time.

Its not something i made up although of course the guy could have been havin' us on but he seemed genuine and his friends said he's got all previous headliners correct John Paul Jones recently came out to say he doesnt want to tour but Robert and Jimmy want to do it next year so you never know. Anyway the guy reckons they are doin a 10 date tour of Europe next summer so we should see if this turns out to be true first.

Rihanna was brilliant at the Hackney weekend, but she does not belong at Glastonbury, ever.

Emily's made no secret about wanting Led Zep now, The Stones proved that Glastonbury can make big things happen, I'm not holding my breath for Led Zep, but I'm wouldn't rule it out either.

Rihanna would be worst of the worst. Her career is based solely on her image and se seems like a repulsive person too.

Take That would be justifiable but I would be elsewhere

I think that the Stones was (my point of view obviously) a mistake this year. They should have focused on bands of the moment. For me this would have meant the Stone Roses (BIG reunion) and Daft Punk (MASSIVE single of the summer).

Having said that, I think that they should try to get Led Zep, I can see the appeal of getting the "Legends" in, but not at the expense of the "zeitgeist" (hate people who use that word...)
