I did feel a tiny bit bad that my first thought upon seeing this thread was "yessss, maybe they won' play", but it's not like I want him to die or not make a full recovery. I wish they wouldn't make music anymore, but I'd feel that way regardless...

It'll be a big operation though, as others have said, but sure he'll be fine.

(Right, we've got two weeks to change Prince's mind about headlining... GO!!!!!!!)

Thing is, he's a bassist. They could easily go on stage and say.

"We're doing this for you TED! So sad you can't be here" and have a picture of him come up on the screens whilst the crowd of fans roar!

Loosing a bassist isn't cancel worth.

Kylie in 2005, Bono in 2010. Is cancel worthy because it's the main event. If this was marcas mumford not a bassist i'd say this is cancel worthy but I don't think it is.

Plus Mumford aren't exactly inventive I don't think it would be hard for a step in bassist to come and have a go.

I bet if Mumfords cancel, Kasabian will do it. They have a show rehearsed as they are playing at the Olympic Park the night before... My other half has been saying for weeks he thinks they are on "Glasto standby".

Infact, who am I kidding.

I'm just saying that it's the most likely case scenario.

They want to play (as much as they slag it off), They CAN play, They would love to step in as they love to be talked out, They would put on a good set! It'l be a much more interesting set then if they just headlined normally.
