I'd be happy with that, though why you think that Neil?

Last year the 3rd headliner was announced in May, and was also 2nd from top on Reading Festival's Saturday.

C&S are 2nd from top at Reading's Saturday this year ... and just to be doubly-sure, I've checked they've not headlined Bestival before.

It's a punt, but one I'd put a fiver on if I ever bothered to bet.

I'd be happy with Chase and Status... but where are all Nick Cave's UK festival appearances? Surely he's not only doing Glastonbury?

I'm not really expecting it to be a headliner I'll like, so if it does turn out to be someone awesome like Nick Cave I'd be delighted. C&S would seem about par for the course though.

I wouldn't be fussed about Chase & Status, but if RDB had to find a last minute replacement it's not hard to see why he'd choose them.

I hope its not chase and status I find them boring live, my logic is that IF it was due to be arcade fire it'll probably be a similar band so going for The National but I think they may be too small

Arcade Fire wouldn't have pulled out this late - doubt it was them since about February time. The news of the pregnancies weren't that late on. The National would be great though, but I'd hate that as I'm not going to Bestival this year. So I hope it's C&S (or Nick Cave, got glasto)
