Doesn't matter. We're still 3 weeks away from any sort of an accurate forecast.

I was planning a BBQ last Saturday and the weather (the night before) was for torrential rain all day, flooding, wind etc and it turned out that there wasn't a drop of rain all day.

Just wanted to chime in with some positivity.

The three years I've been are 2008, 2009 and 2010. I don't know what a wet Glastonbury feels like and I don't plan on starting this year.

You can all thank me later :beach:

I remember looking at predictions in 2010 a month before hand and it showing about 2mm rain every day running up (except for one time i looked and it showed lightning and about 200 degrees - something had gone very wrong with the model). it showed a clear saturday and sunday.

I've just looked at metcheck and it looks very similar, but really, we can pretty much guarentee that it will not be anything like the current forecasts.

With all this speculation knocking about, I might as well post this. Only gives until Friday but its as good a guess as any. Ive been kind enough to underline the general picture if you just want to glance at it.

Conclusion: Were not going to know anything for certain until we see the countryfile weather report the Sunday before!

Also, Im only going to believe positive reports until that Sunday.

UK Outlook for Friday 14 Jun 2013 to Friday 28 Jun 2013:

On balance, there are currently no strong signals, but the more likely scenario is for conditions to stay rather changeable with further spells of unsettled weather, but also some drier and brighter interludes. Temperatures generally near, or on the cool side of normal, partly aided by cooler than average sea surface temperatures for the time of year, although still feeling pleasant enough in sunnier interludes.

Hi I'm Saki. Never I went to the festival, but perfect weather is good when I participate. I hate very hot weather and dust. Because visibility is poor in the dust and people get heat stroke if it is too hot. So I think after the rain the weather is just right not too hot.

In Japan is rain season. It's too hot and wet !

    • I am as well not a fan of these side by side stages. too many people at the same places and you have always people around you who wait for the other stage...
    • If only they could get the Bits area back (and add maximum 5k capacity) the site would feel less crowded.
    • Blame it on the side-by-side setup. There are cases where it works well - got a great location in front of the middle screen for Bexter Dury-Big Thief-Little Simz, just had to move about 20 meters each time for a great location. But on most cases it sucks
    • was happy to swerve the main stages on Saturday, but thought it was fine for The Cure, we just went down the opposite side & got a decent spot close to the front, everyone into it (admittedly a bit off to the side)   a festival that now books Olivia Rodrigo as a surprise set isn't going to get any smaller, for better or for worse it is miles apart from when I was first going   personally I still find the people amazing, never have any hassle & the line ups are always so strong & diverse.  We will definitely return for the 25th anniversary next year!
    • I love this festival but Mordor has got worse and worse to the point now that I dread going there. 10 years ago there just weren’t as many people, as many bottlenecks and there wasnt the need to arrive early to have a decent spot.
