I am gonna take wellies and walking boots. Good quality, waterproof (and recently re-proofed) walking boots will get you through a festival most of the time - unless it's like 2007. In which case you need to supplement with gaiters OR go for the easy wellies option.

I'd say based on the current conditions, if you have walking boots and they're waterproof and in good nick, that those will probably see you through this weekend. But have some wellies in the boot of your car just in case!

Actually strike that, I've just realised I've only packed my gaiters, not my wellies. Wellies are in the attic. Boots + gaiters it is...

Made the decision to ditch the wellies. Walking boots will be fine even if it does rain a little I think

I'm taking DMs and a pair of old converse, I figure that should see me fine. As long as there isn't suddenly some thigh-high puddles my DMs should be ok.

For those of you that like looking at the charts, it's worth checking the NAE as it's a much higher resolution forecast (more accurate) than the GFS, but only goes up to 48 hours ahead. It also predicts cloud cover:

Currently showing "0" precipitation between now and 6am Thursday, and Wednesday is looking a mixture of cloud/sun, tending towards more cloudy in the middle of the afternoon

3mm overnight on Thurs. It's not enough to fill a paddling pool - the morning temps would burn that off in an hour or so.

One thing everyone's forgetting is that it still gets muddy around the toilet and sink areas even when its dry. Walking boots all the way for me.
