Morning all, Bigdog has had his walk and recommends that you don't forget the blanket to go in your basket because it was cold last night with a heavy dew on everything this morning. He managed to find some horse poo to eat today, piquante with a high straw content but a bit dessicated because the weather is so dry. His paws were a bit dusty after the track across the G car park and the buzzards were starting to try and thermal, so rising air is starting.

He expects that everybody should spend the next 5 days rolling in the sunshine and chasing rabbits.

And don't forget your rope toy and squeaky bone. He is having a last roll in the sunshine before going on hols later to a friends.

Kudos to you, I'm not that brave, but I will be avoiding bringing any waterproof clothes. Just watch out, in 2010 I got a nasty rash on my leg (chemicals/muckspreading?) that made it unbearable to walk and made me miss half of Muse (although it definitely helped after the medical centre gave me some calamine & antihistamines - after staring at it for 20 minutes before carefully saying "well, it seems to be a dermatological problem..." :sarcastic: )

Bought some wellies last night but I'm gonna keep the labels/plastic on them so I can take them back afterwards because it looks like I'm not gonna need 'em!

Looking like this could be a great first year of Glasto; except for battling hayfever.

Heading off soon so this is farewell and thank you so much to Jackone, Big Dog and all our science wonks for pleasing the weather gods!

Have a fantastic festival everybody - see you in the underground piano bar, which I WILL find this year!!!

    • I love this festival but Mordor has got worse and worse to the point now that I dread going there. 10 years ago there just weren’t as many people, as many bottlenecks and there wasnt the need to arrive early to have a decent spot.
    • Aren't they against touring?
    • If my memory serves me right, it was the other way round - when PS 2022 lineup was released it was already confirmed that she plays Barcelona in May.
    • Cheers! And yep looks identical to Green day's scheduling
    • Reading all the feedback with interest.  If there are now 75,000 tickets officially sold, plus who knows how many more people blagging in - then on the Friday evening and Saturday in particular, it's not ridiculous to suggest there's 50,000 people at Mordor, which is a stadium gig - except with much worse sight lines, an inferior PA, and far less bars and toilets. The Thursday evening in 2022 was of course infamous but on the Friday night for Beck I was trapped about 150m from the stage, surrounded by chatters, and with no prospect of getting nearer the stage.  With hindsight that was when I realised the fest had one way or another fundamentally changed.  Also noting on Reddit that some folk didn't enjoy the Cure or Gorillaz because the sets were "too long".  In future bands may be better received if they actually just play their top 10 Spotify songs then get back off the stage.
