Trebor
Could be one of the biggest crowds the Scream have ever played to. Hope they don't get wrecked beforehand and pull a '2005', or then again, part of me hopes they do!

zeppelin
Are we just using this thread to confirms artists' days now then? Jessie Ware tweeted saying she's on Sunday.

zeppelin
I think that's the best idea. I'm jotting them all down so will update it once we have a few (although I have already noted Mr Efests is already on it for the main rumours page)
philly_eds
Just been browsing tour dates for some of the acts, found these: Major Lazer (West Holts) - Saturday Miles Kane (John Peel) - Friday Hot Natured (Silver Hayes) - Friday The Hives (Other) - Sunday Everything Everything (John Peel) - Friday Sub Focus (Silver Hayes) - Sunday SBTRKT (Silver Hayes) - Friday Edited March 28, 2013 by philly_eds
Frankly Mr Shankly
i very much hope they do that haha would be hilarious. though i imagine the Stones are somewhat heroes of theirs so i reckon they'll want to put on the show of a lifetime to open for them, unlike 2005 where they were pissed off to be opening for Basement Jaxxx
zeppelin
I'd say if they're on form, Primal Scream will be a hard act to follow & possibly make the Stones look dull in comparison.

sisco
Nice one, had a look on a few band websites last night (as it made it to 2am and I'd done nothing but stare at a poster for 7 hours!) to look for dates but some were either not there or too vague. philly_eds
Yeah had a brief look earlier and a lot haven't added any specifics yet. I'm sure daily it will happen from now though
sisco
I had a decent look too, there's just a handful that had actual specific dates, and maybe a couple you could work out due to them having gigs on other days etc. List above ^

budvar
yep, to some extent. I'm guessing there's an acceptance that nearly everyone will see the stones, and they don't want massive numbers flooding in just before they play. Festival stage programming is a fine art, where crowd movements issues have to be weighed up against the issues that would be caused by having too many people go to one stage. In normal circumstances the best way to manage that is to create an amount of movement by having different types of acts playing after each other. But if you've got an act so big that a huge number will go to that stage whatever, then i'd guess you have to go at it in a different way, and have that huge crowd arrive bit by bit for one or more acts before them. thewayiam
For what it's worth there's no way I'll suffer through Primal Scream again to be in a good spot, even for The Stones. Have to be one of the worst live acts of all time thanks to Gillespie's inability to sing.
