Just checked on O2 Priority for Notts standing tickets and they appear to still be available. May buy them once I'm home.

Edit: The booking fee and transaction fee take it up to the same price as the NIN pre-sale. Sigh. May go for it anyway, seeing as I probably won't be able to get them on Friday.

I'm holding off on that decision for now. With NMH the very next day I need to see how my exam timetable looks and how my funds develop before I start buying tickets for more sadly. Those massive fees don't help either.

Assuming there's still tickets available near the dates I'll probably grab at least one other though.

So apparently the excessive booking fee was an error in the NIN presale and I'm being given just under half of it back. So the price is now the same as everywhere else. What a massive dick slap to those who didn't go for presale because of the high fee

The admin fee would go to MusicToday, and given their direct relationship with TicketMaster I doubt they've got more of a soul than any other. I'm annoyed because I'd have gone with the band presale for Nottingham and saved on postage, but at least I get £4 back from Manchester, which is nice. Already booked my Travelodge for that, £26 at the moment which was a nice surprise - figured I'd get not much more than a hostel for that.

I thought it said somewhere on the NIN site that the service charge was to cover a) admin fees but also B)cost of running the pickup ticket stand & staff members for the extra 15 minutes early thing and c) to cover the cost of printing the tickets (suggests a special ticket design perhaps? Idk). So I'd say only a small portion of that fee goes to Music Today :)

    • I love this festival but Mordor has got worse and worse to the point now that I dread going there. 10 years ago there just weren’t as many people, as many bottlenecks and there wasnt the need to arrive early to have a decent spot.
    • Aren't they against touring?
    • If my memory serves me right, it was the other way round - when PS 2022 lineup was released it was already confirmed that she plays Barcelona in May.
    • Cheers! And yep looks identical to Green day's scheduling
    • Reading all the feedback with interest.  If there are now 75,000 tickets officially sold, plus who knows how many more people blagging in - then on the Friday evening and Saturday in particular, it's not ridiculous to suggest there's 50,000 people at Mordor, which is a stadium gig - except with much worse sight lines, an inferior PA, and far less bars and toilets. The Thursday evening in 2022 was of course infamous but on the Friday night for Beck I was trapped about 150m from the stage, surrounded by chatters, and with no prospect of getting nearer the stage.  With hindsight that was when I realised the fest had one way or another fundamentally changed.  Also noting on Reddit that some folk didn't enjoy the Cure or Gorillaz because the sets were "too long".  In future bands may be better received if they actually just play their top 10 Spotify songs then get back off the stage.
