Sorry Spaffer, but no. Bad judgements remain bad judgements.

It's only by remembering what was bad that we avoid doing it again.

Fair enough, that Yvette Cooper is streets ahead of Ramsay MacDonald

They apologised for "breaching impartiality" when Maitlis stated facts. Not giving an alternative to facts isn't "balance", it's basic journalism.

I think Cooper belongs in that best PM we never had category.

She was pretty awesome yesterday. I think I've mentioned, I'm Jo Bloggs with no strong political interest? I was like "Quick, who was that, she's brilliant!"

I don't think I was ever able to explain myself properly then, but I'll try again. It was the fact that they chose internal power struggles over the public good that annoyed me, just as it's annoying me now.

Although I liked the guy, I did keep repeating it was that self harming stupidity that irked me. (from both sides of Labour). Same as now. Thought Cunnings could do much better than this, he's not even trying to be convincing. He's supposed to be brilliant, so whats he up to?

I'm not sure whether I prefer Starmer or Cooper in action. I was never keen on Eagle though.

'Seemed closer than 2 metres'. So they could have been further apart than 2 metres!

I hope it's just the camera angle 🤞

You can argue about policies & timings but there is no competition on communication skills.

Compare with Johnson, Hancock etc.

The signer behind her isn't as impressed though....the freeze frame above looks like he's flipping her the bird!! 🤣

without wanting to defend Spaffer or Hancock, the difference is they've got no one to point the finger of blame at.

Sturgeon loves to portray the idea that she's in charge, but did you notice how she ducked the "did we lock down too late?" question the other day? That's not great communication, that's a running line in bullshit.

And we have snippers galore saying how Scotland has done much better than England - a conclusion that can only be reached by ignoring all context for what has actually happened.

(PS: here's one to stick in any snipper's pipe: Cornwall has done waaay better than Scotland despite being chock-full of oldies. It must be because Sturgeon is crap and Spaffer's great :P )

Cooper best PM that never was?
This place!

Nah, just a better PM that never was than Corbyn - not a high bar at all.

Just as her getting the better of your man isn't a high bar either.

Not a fan then?

Who do you think is the most talented?

Very good from starmer

yes, he did play it well. Nothing unpatriotic to antagonise the public during a crisis. But still getting a dig in.

Sturgeon has studiously avoided blaming anyone...even the evil English! She had constantly talked up the benefits of cooperation and frequently referred to the virus not respecting borders.

Which is why I started my post with "You can argue about policies & timing" I agree that she has many of the same questions to answer as the Westminster government.

Snippers galore may be saying this (& indeed recent polling in Scotland showd we have massively more faith in Sturgeon\Holyrood than Johnson\Westminster) but Sturgeon isn't.

I don't disagree. Has nothing to do with the point I was making.
