Yeah it sounds like it's gonna be great. And they didnt play Moon at Coachella so you could be lucky :P I was gutted at not getting tickets to the TW forum in January. Foals in a 200 capacity venue would have been astounding.

Haha yeah, Shikari were pretty deadly there :P I imagine the atmosphere at R+L will be decent too, Chase and status fans waiting will want a bit of a mosh to excite themselves. Yeah, Cassius sounds like it will translate great live, no idea why it's been dropped :(

These are either the only two gigs you've ever been to ....or I was led to believe wrongly that Foals are great live :P

Yeah needs more Cassius, should do it like 10 times or so! Might be better than WTT then ;)

In seriousness, they need to add Cassius back in but I am not hopeful and I can why they perhaps don't play it anymore, it doesn't really fit in that well with the new albums if we're honest.

I can't decipher what your first sentence means I don't know if you're saying WTT was shit or not :(

I think you're wrong about it not fitting in though, they could have definitely slotted it in between any of the songs when I saw them, would've gone down a treat, all the songs in the set mixed together nicely whether it was Antidotes, TLF or HF

They dropped Hummer and Mathletics once they really got going with Antidotes, so they've got "form" in terms of dropping fan favourites if they don't think they fit.

Thier set should be great though - first time I saw them was headlining an outdoor stage (Field Day 2008) and they've been great nearly every time since. The Tunbridge Wells Forum show was pretty good, though not the best I've seen them (Brixton 2008, supported by Holy Fuck and Dananananaykroyd).

Ideally I'd like them to go with something like:

Prelude

Red Socks Pugie

My Number

Milk & Black Spiders

Cassius

Late Night

Providence

Spanish Sahara

Electric Bloom

Inhaler

Two Steps, Twice

But I don't really expect to see Cassius back in the set at Reading.

    • was happy to swerve the main stages on Saturday, but thought it was fine for The Cure, we just went down the opposite side & got a decent spot close to the front, everyone into it (admittedly a bit off to the side)   a festival that now books Olivia Rodrigo as a surprise set isn't going to get any smaller, for better or for worse it is miles apart from when I was first going   personally I still find the people amazing, never have any hassle & the line ups are always so strong & diverse.  We will definitely return for the 25th anniversary next year!
    • I love this festival but Mordor has got worse and worse to the point now that I dread going there. 10 years ago there just weren’t as many people, as many bottlenecks and there wasnt the need to arrive early to have a decent spot.
    • Aren't they against touring?
    • If my memory serves me right, it was the other way round - when PS 2022 lineup was released it was already confirmed that she plays Barcelona in May.
    • Cheers! And yep looks identical to Green day's scheduling
