This year will be my fourth KC, love it. My favourite time of year and in reply to MickL I guessed James last year months before the line up announcement, my proudest achievement ;) This year I'm guessing at New Order but that's me wanting them (badly) I hope Courteeners don't do it, it will attract a lot of 'lads' only there to see them, I went to a few of their gigs when they first started but unfortunately they've attracted quite a lot of tosspots now, don't bother with them anymore.

Ever the optimist ! I think if they were gonna play it would have been last year, they seem to have had a meteoric rise, that's not to say they won't appear in a few years time if they suffer a fall from grace. They've probably outgrown a lot of the smaller festivals without making appearances at them,

Wouldn't go as far as saying theyre shite, just wouldn't be the first band on my to watch list if they were announced ! Couldnt imagine getting overly excited about seeing them headline, decent indie rock back but not much sing a long, jump up and down type stuff, more stand with the occasional head nod whilst listening to them ! Prefer my headliners to be James like where you know the words and sing them whilst watching the performance, could just be my ignorance of Bloc Partys back catalogue as well tho

    • The Radio Dept.?! That's a surprise to me, they haven't toured in like 8 years. Hopefully they will announce some more shows.
    • I was assuming September in Stirling might have a different issue tbf in the form of it just pissing it down.
    • Yeah so many of mine seem to be just France v Spain in one semi and England/Brazil v Argentina in the other. But the fact those combos are the obvious ones mean it feels unlikely that'll happen because in World Cup history, you very rarely end up with what pre-tournament looks like the obvious final 4. We all see teams outperform and underperform. Which one is the fall guy is a different matter.   I've said elsewhere that for me, there's a hierarchy of Spain, France and Argentina as the 3 strongest looking, then England and Portugal, then Brazil and Germany, but that overall, they'd be the 7 likeliest to win. So I dunno, maybe this will be the time the Netherlands avenge the failure of total football in 1974 and achieve what they couldn't achieve through whatever the f**k Nigel de Jong was with his 2010 final karate moves.
    • Oh I think Infantino should resign. His handling of the whole WC process has been an utter shitshow. But you know. That would require him having integrity or something.
    • Good Charlotte would be fine third down or subbing. If they can get a bigger sub and still get GC, they’ll play third down.
