I love Crystal Castles, but they were the worst band I saw at Reading last year by a mile.

It was just Alice being an absolute twat on the floor in front of the stage. Pointless.

I heard their Glastonbury (maybe '09) set in the John Peel tent has gone down as legend.

I'd still be taking it in at the back thinking its a load of rubbish.

They won't headline, that's 99.9% safe to say. But I wouldn't grumble at them subbing.

I just love Bestival as last year I could say "let's go see Camo & Krooked for 45mins, then just stroll round for Stevie 5mins before he's on" & actually get to do that.

I lasted until "Not in Love" when I realised that Rob wasn't gonna come on, then got some chips and gravy.

The chips were good.

Sister Sledge were outstanding. Sly & the Family Stone should play if they're still touring? I seem to remember reading an interview with him living out of a campervan in America somewhere though, he seemed slightly unhinged.

And Crystal Castles really aren't a band to sit and appreciate from the back, I thought they were awful the first time I saw them too but amazing last time. You need to not be sober, go down the front and get into it.

I'm going and it's going to be great but I preferred the Saturday night fever vibe last year over this years hip hop extravaganza not my cup of tea but I suppose it will make me explore more
