Primarily for GIRLS going to Glasto & It covers the essentials and bare minimum smile.png

- This list is for girls who don't want to look 100% rank but have accepted that they probably will. It covers the basics that have served me well for the past four Glastonburys.

- It IS NOT for overly girly girls who make tap lines half an hour longer and get their hair blow-dried at the on-site salon... you would probably need a lot more stuff and, quite frankly, I don't know how your back takes the weight!gym.gif

Please CLICK HERE for the list! (makes the page shorter and eliminates the 'massive quote' situation clogging up all of the space.

Please add anything you think I've missed!

Also feel free to check out my 'Festival Budget Blog': it may help you, it may not, but it's there either way smile.png

After sleeping (if you can call it that) in the car Tuesday night, setting up and having a great time on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, getting rained on or sweating in places I didn't know could sweat and my barnet looking like an unbrushable birds nest; a hair wash on Saturday morning doesn't half make you feel human again.

Anyway, I digress. You haven't talked about the very safe and free lock ups. Leave your cash in a bag in one and use it like a bank as on site ATMs charge for withdrawals.

I would never take £600 with me anywhere especially as festival, I took £150 Thursday to Monday last time, and came back with £50, I ate well drunk very well, good times, and put my money in different places. I don't think I would use lock ups but if you don't feel safe its good. I will carry a lot less next time, take leggings instead of jeans and one warm fleece with hood is needed, fleece is light, water resistant and dries quick. And warm. Can probably think of more as we go :) I use Morrison flushable wipes for cleaning and loo, not toilet paper. And dry shampoo is great but by day 3 I washed with my solar shower as my hair was nasty, lol the shower was used for 5 of us so not wasted water. Choose your bag carefully as mine was heavy to start with and really not nice after 5 hours walking in mud that made your legs feel like lead.

I take loads of packs of pocket tissues for toilet roll as they are just so much better for carrying about all day.

I also always wash my hair halfway through the festival because greasy hair brings me out in spots, but I just get my hubby to pour water from our water carrier over my head at the tent. We take our bikini/trunks and expand this idea and chuck water over each other for a makeshift shower if its hot! This was actually fantastic in 2010. I'd say don't rule out hair washing, just don't cause a queue right round the field from the taps to do it & use eco friendly shampoo ( I use my shampoo as shower gel too!)

(Edit - Wow! I type really badly on my phone! - reads better now!)

£600 is a ridiculous amount to of money to carry around.

I go with £70 and then top up, the cash machines are open 24 hours. If you go at night or early evening there are never any queues. It's mornings and afternoons that are busy.

No point in risking losing a lot of money!
