airds Posted October 7, 2012 Report Share Posted October 7, 2012 For those still struggling on Windows 7 PCs Click start button In "search programs and files" type notepad when notepad appears in your menu, right click on it and the left click on "Run as administrator" when notepad opens, click "file" then "open" navigate to "c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc" then change box in the bottom right from "Text Documents (*.txt)" to "All Files (*.*)" you will then see "hosts" file, open it and do the edit Then "File" then "save" HTH Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Search for Wordpad, Right Click and select 'Run as Administrator' then load that file and edit it as Neil suggests. Bingo. Roberts your mothers brother.
