Avalon_Fields
I had wondered, as it wasn’t long ago they announced their resumed tour without him, unspecified medical issues…
Quark
I always hate it when a thread on a legacy-type act appears on the front page. This time rightly so. What a drummer.

chuckles07
I don't know how the Stones can continue now. He was fundamental to every thing the stones were, Keith has said that without Charlie they wouldn't be the band they became. So sad. RIP. Hugh Jass
Very sad day, so glad I got to see them a couple of times before any of them passed. The G13 show will live long in the memory.

FloorFiller
Damn. When he stepped down from the tour I kind of saw this coming, but obviously hoped for the best. What a legend. I’m sure they’ll continue on without him but that’s the end of the Rolling Stones proper imo, regardless of the other members they’ve had come and go in the past. According to a statement from the band’s spokesperson, per Pitchfork, Watts recently underwent an unspecified medical procedure that was “completely successful”. Steve Jordan, a member of Stones co-founder Keith Richards’ side-project The X-Pensive Winos, will fill in. “Charlie has had a procedure which was completely successful, but I gather his doctors this week concluded that he now needs proper rest and recuperation,” the spokesperson said. “With rehearsals starting in a couple of weeks it’s very disappointing to say the least, but it’s also fair to say no one saw this coming
