Trent said he was meant to dedicate a fair bit of this year writing NIN stuff actually - whether he has or not, I don't know - so recording and writing wise they definitely aren't on hiatus. Nor has he retired from touring, initially he said he might retire NIN from touring for good, but he went back on that even before the farewell tour ended. Although he hasn't explicitly said NIN will definitely tour again, he's very heavily hinted in interviews he'll probably return to touring NIN one day.

Green Day would be awesome at the IOW, would want them to close the festival... Stone Roses can stay away IMO...

Would love MCR, Arcade Fire an Green Day to headline with The Black Keys, Mumfords and Weezer to sub if possible...

My new thought guys, is Muse, The Stone Roses, and Green Day.

Green Day are here on June 1st. It's not till two weeks later IOW comes along.

Muse might be the same issue with T as in they don't like playing in too much light.

The Roses are I think are a stick on, and Green Day I don't think are far off it.

If the 3rd in this case it not Muse, then I say The Prodigy

I was in the VIP area this year at the IOW Festival and spoke to John Giddins after Springsteen had finished. When I suggested Green Day would make a great headline act, his exact words were "if I were you I'd have a bet on that".

Could have been winding me up but I don't think so and now they're playing the Emirates a couple of weeks earlier and will have a trio of new albums to promote, makes perfect sense to me.

My other predictions (only predictions) are the Killers and possibly Aerosmith or Fleetwood Mac on the Sunday night. Arcade Fire a good shout too.

Please not the Prodigy or Stone Roses though!!

I think they are nailed on! I'd be a little surprised to not see them do it. Like the guy above says about AM, I can see it but Fleetwood, Muse and Green Day is my guess, unless they can get Arctics to sub like Oxygen did to Foo's the other year.

I don't think it'll be The Killers or Prodigy, I think Prodigy will play sub spots at festivals to promote new album.

Arctic Monkeys, Arcade Fire, Green Day would make a great set of headliners next year.

The Black Keys, Mumford and Sons and Weezer subbing...

Fleetwood Mac would also be awesome.

Hope Prodigy and Stone Roses stay well away.
