blackg1000
Very sad indeed: http://www.bbc.co.uk...slands-18385508 There will be a flurry of debate on this topic no doubt but the government need to take a step in some sort of direction with drugs when people are resorting to taking these drugs to avoid taking illegal ones. Ironically, these 'legal highs' are just a lethal cocktail of chemicals where no-one knows the side effects. I'm not saying illegal drugs are much safer but at least the user knows what to expect when taking them. Paul ™
Let's wait for the PM and toxicology report to be done to see what exactly he took.
Jagerman
Illegal drugs like MDMA, LSD and Speed are generally considered to be safer than the 'legal highs' available online by medical professionals. That isnt to say they are not harmful but there have been tests run on these drugs for almost 40 years now and there isnt conclusive evidence to say they are more dangerous than alcohol. They are illegal purely for political purposes and they are driving people to experiment with new, untested drugs and it may well have cost an unlucky person their life. One of the governments chief scientists recommended a new approach to attitudes towards drugs and how they are classified and he was promptly sacked. Sadly our right wing media would never tolerate a realistic and pragmatic approach towards drug use so this will continue to happen. RIP and my thoughts are with the poor family of the person who died.
msr
Very sad that there was another death at Rockness. Correct me if I'm wrong but with the exception of 2011 that is one a year. TITP has had only one death in 17 years and it has more than double the attendance.
Spartacus Mars
He had allegedly been taking Benzo Furies, which funnily enough I was also gulping all weekend. I really hope this doesn't stop another Legal High. I'm still really peed off about them stopping my Mexy.

blackg1000
what point are you trying to make? there have been a lot of deaths at rockness considering it's only been around for 7 years, but i don't see what else they can do to prevent drug related deaths. they are already really strict with security. you're probably more likely to get murdered at T in the park though, people can get a bit stabby there. Spartacus Mars
I'm constantly surprised there aren't a dozen deaths every Wickerman. They're really tight with water there. A friend's son twisted his ankle and they went to A&E fearing it broken. The A&E department was full of kids who were clearly ill through e dehydration. Kowalski
I presume there wasn't a "legal highs" stall at the festival?

rexclark
There's less deaths at TITP because when they find someone dead they bury them under the concrete in the airfield so they don't get any bad publicity. Allegedly of course.
Spartacus Mars
Think I seen a quote by King saying there wasn't. I certainly never seen one, that's for sure.
Stuart1000
There was a woman walking through the crowd selling them during Friendly Fires on Sunday night tho. Would never go near the stuff. You don't know what you're buying or what harm it could have on your body. If you need that to have a good time, you should really question your happiness in life. I was totally sober on Sunday and had an awesome day.

RMcCole
For what it's worth, I seen a higher % of people getting carted away by friends/paramedics for being out their tits than I've seen the last 3 years.
