Lineup 2014

You can never have too much Cure.

But, seriously, of course we bloody would. We don't want to end up like V or, even worse, Sonisphere. R&L have one of the largest pools to choose from, and there have been enough viable suggests over the last few months for fill three of four years, so this is a kop out.

How do you know who's 'viable'? We might think bands are but for whatever reason, they're not.

I mean, it's a terrible booking, but maybe it really was the best they could do.

Blink headlining is fucking tragic, the rest is actually pretty solid in a predictable uninspiring way.

Some plus points:

1. Luckysalt is vindicated. Respect.

2. Might shut people up about the the fucking five year rule.

3. Shit headliners in 2014 (Blink, Arctics) when I can't go might make 2015's line up seem better.

Well I'm very pleased with Blink as they're one of my favourite bands and i didn't honestly think they'd be announced. However I can sympathise with everyone who's pissed off as it is very soon since they last played and it is lazy. Overall I'm happy and I'm intrigued to find out who the British headliner is.

Are Arctics nailed on? Been away last couple days

It's a fun festival, there's lots going on and you can have great bimbles, but the atmosphere isn't one of music lovers, it's of Londoners breaking away from City life. I'm glad I've been once but I wouldn't go again.

Ahh okay, cheers :) Yeah, it's one i'd like to go to but having been only to Reading, anything would seem a step up in late night entertainment. And if the first announcement is anything to go by, a lot would be a step up in music.

well Lucky said he'd gotten info that the two headliners were Blink and Arctics, so now that Blink have been announced Arctics are seeming pretty likely. only thing making them seem unlikely is efests taking them off the rumours list, so i guess we shall see

    • Oh im sure - theres loads    but just as an observation from the film, If you have not seen it yet im sure you would love it
    • Reading seems to have sold really well this year from the posts they've made re. tickets. I don't think it's going anywhere anytime soon, I think for the vast majority in here (myself included) it just doesn't cater to us. That said, if I was still under the age of 18 I'd be thrilled with the Reading lineup this year (not so much Leeds).
