Woffy
I seem to remember him walking out and saying "Hullo Glasto. You look like I feel... miserable." Possibly, possibly. I need to find out now...
SirDaniel
I seem to remember him walking out and saying "Hullo Glasto. You look like I feel... miserable." Nah, it was "Hullo Glasto... Fancy seeing me here" Me and my friends frequently say it to each other in our best Morrissey drawls.
Woffy
Really? This is getting weird now. How did i misremember that so spectacularly?
Frankly Mr Shankly
A review of the show states this: 'There had been a rainstorm earlier in the day so after set opener "Don't Make Fun Of Daddy's Voice" Morrissey said "I know you're wet and I know you're cold so I'll sing as fast as I can..." After "How Can Anybody Possibly Know How I Feel?" he said "Thank you everybody... or thank you some of you... thank you most of you..." Following "Let Me Kiss You" he teased the audience with "I suppose that most of you feel pretty disgusting, do you? Yeah well, believe me I feel that way every day... and I'm usually nowhere near mud... except psychologically of course..." At some point into the show Morrissey asked if people could wait until the end of his set before overdosing.' Hope that clears it up for anyone who was there? Hugh Jass
Do you think there is a genuine chance? He's not Been mentioned at all really, I was there in 2011 in a pretty poor crowd and would love to see him again I'd put the poor crowd down to a mixture of pouring rain and the fact that everyone was trying to catch Radiohead in the Park. SirDaniel
Really? This is getting weird now. How did i misremember that so spectacularly? Ah, this was 2011, just scrolled and saw you were talking about 2004. I actually have no idea what he said then
the wonderwhy
Arena looked full so not sure of earlier post...odd It definitely wasn't. Seating wise there were four whole blocks of seats (2 on each side) towards the stage they normally sell, which were totally empty. Then the upper tiers for the blocks they did sell were curtained off. I was standing so I dunno what that bit looked like, but although it was pretty packed down the front it got spacious very quickly.

Yep, 2011. The "miserable" line was '04. I was at both.

Thought they'd stopped using them as matter of course due to limited view but not been there often enough

not worthy
I guess they only release them if all others sold. Kasabian selling more than Neil young and Morrissey makes me feel ill
The Nal
Setlist FM doesn't have "Everyday is like Sunday" but I DEFFO remember him playing it in '04. Yep. Good article here about it. http://www.morrissey-solo.com/article.pl?sid=04/06/26/2146213
DGrant261
Yep. Good article here about it.http://www.morrissey-solo.com/article.pl?sid=04/06/26/2146213 I would kill for him to bring back the Subway Train intro for Everyday Regarding World Peace, as a first time attendee I'd love to see him play a set of his 10 biggest solos hits and some Smiths numbers, but I appreciate I am in a minority here and he has been touring for years and so many of the fans that want to see these songs have seen them. A World Peace set wont stop me going thought, as I need to see as many of the great British bands/singers as I can, whilst they're all still touring, it's like a race against time. Moz doing a mainly World Peace set is still better than 99% of the top selling singers out there in my eyes, even if it's not what I would choose. Bonneville88
Morrissey has announced US tour dates which coincide with Glasto. No Moz this year

Just curious as I have no other experiences to compare it to anf heard tge tour was his best for a while from a few people Didn't expect to see him playing Glasto, but it's a big shame nonetheless
paolo1980
As someone who's seen Moz about 8 times now and saw the last Glasto appearance, I'm not that fussed that he's not going to be playing this year. He only really tends to respond to 'his' crowd and was his usual disparaging self at the crowd when they weren't jumping up and down to one of his latest album tracks, something along the lines of 'It's OK, we won't be long... we know you're only waiting for U2'. I was at the Leeds gig, BTW, front and centre and had a fine old time
Wanderlei
He was fantastic in Nottingham on the 13th March. Best I've heard his voice! Did a lot of stuff from his new album, which suited me just fine. I especially like "Staircase At The University". Morrissey is a God. In fact, he's even better than that. It's so good to see him chatty and up for it!
Bonneville88
Yeah I saw him at the o2 last year and it was just brilliant, my first time seeing him though. A few more classics would've been good but I really like the new album anyway so it was a great show.
