Feel for you.

I have tickets for Lauryn Hill, in December,  famously unreliable, at the end of almost a year long trans-continental tour, always had an unstable vocal predisposition.  I do not have high hopes.

I was 8 in August 1973. I had no idea that Notting Hill carnival existed then. I found out about it though and have been 25+ times.

Wish I'd been there in 1973 though.

The first 8 times I went to NHC (in the 90’s) I performed as part of the LSS Samba Bateria.  I was at the top of my Samba game then and it still felt like a massive privilege 

Unfortunately I’ve only been 3/20 years since as it clashes with so many local events and my silly birthday.

Another poor show this year ! Glastonbury in the 90s you could find plenty of good Reggae & Dub.

Dreadful (no pun intended) they've pretty much done away with the gully by merging it with the blues so mainly DJ's, no classic reggae acts this year, very disappointing.
