Bear in mind that we all set off for the festival last year expecting heavy showers on Saturday night\Sunday...

Even when you're walking through the gates, it's never too late to demand no rain and to make no compromise on the aformentioned demand for no rain.

This my first post since 'it' all happened. I miss the old NFR NFC, I miss DH, I miss the pictures, I miss Boilermans daily chant. I am a girl too shock horror. it was handled badly. I feel something that was so good has gone, I am sad for that.

After 3 days of being hung on the washing line my boxers are finally dry. This I'm taking as a good omen (and not my laziness)

Well I'm only 15 miles from the site and even with all the rain from the last two weeks and lunchtime I can still walk on my lawn and not get my socks damp! There is still hope! Its 18 degrees out and a good breeze so drying up nicely

Woah there peeps let's not take our foot off the gas after a few better looking forecasts....we need to demand more! I bought Wellies today, yes that's how serious my sacrificies are becoming!

Problem with the Glastonbury site is it is a clay soil with very poor drainage so this wet weather combined with low heat means that wellies and standing for 5 days will be the requirement.

Been dry, but seriously windy in Cornwall today, and my sacrifice is having to borrow money from my Dad for 4 new mud tyres for my landy, serious expensive sacrifice, so it will now definately be dry and I wont need them for towing out car parks!!!

no it doesnt. i dont even think wellies will be needed after the first few days, and there's going to be loads of grass to sit on.

Indeed. On Thursday night in 2009 God pissed all over the site with furious anger. It was very muddy on the Friday. By Friday tea-time it had pretty much dried out. And it wasn't 28 degrees as some claim!

Anyway, agreed. 2005 there was so much rain, I think a month's worth or something, in a few hours, and still could sit on the grass most places 24 hours later. The busy market areas, infront of the main stages - and the places that got severly flooded never really recovered - but the rest drained pretty well I thought.
