Don't wanna bang on about being a veteran and all that. But, I'm sure there are many on here who remember 97, 98? Was grim wasn't it?

I remember stages sinking, shit lorries blowing instead of sucking, trenchfoot, the man on the radio on route to the site saying "its been raining solid for 48 hours!" At night it was like Mad Max, ambulances everywhere, sirens blaring, people falling, raving, tripping everywhere, horizontal sheet rain, a real possibility of the whole gig being cancelled!

But I also remember Radiohead in 97, Dylan in 98 when the sun shone for the first time. Oh and for some reason I remember being in a clothes stall, knee deep in water watching Beckham score a free kick against Columbia! Good times, happy times! People, next week will be a wonderful festival, the weather will happen, we'll get wrecked, we'll trip, fall, get lost, we'll bimble! Doesn't get any better than that. :)

And don't forget, as good as the BBC forecasts are, they are very generalised so "absolutely piss it down" could also mean a quick heavy shower and then the occasional warm sunburst to dry it all up. And if that happens on the Monday we can all thank god!

Having looked at JACKONE's forecast I'm still feeling pretty happy, has to be said that GFS 12Z run was a shocker but as JACK points out it was an outlier (a rogue run) and so can almost be discounted as the other runs seemed to stick to the patterns of earlier runs.

It's all to play for guys!! :D

NB. The ECM (the Euro model) and usually more reliable model at this range is also coming on side.

Just got back from the rugby having seen my team lose a gut wrenching semi final in golden point extra time in front of the sky cameras, so really wanted some good news to cheer me up. The mood I'm in, I'll happily accept Jackone's latest forecast!
