That GFS run really isn't that bad. If we were in Leeds it would be bad. If we were in the Channel Islands it would be great. Could go either way, but signs of optimism.

I'm upgrading to:

I think that today is predicted to be official "sky emptying day". We need all that wet stuff to drop out today so we can then dry out in the run up to the big weekend. It's a crucial time, think we need a big collective push!

I dunno if my heart can take this... First time I've properly followed a weather thread in 4 years and I'm nearly having a heart attack with all these highs and lows

Still, based on the fact that we've had one great run and will accept nothing except SUN, my optimism is rising again...

10 sleeps and we'll be there people -

High Pressure (1020 mbh plus) with lines far apart for light winds, with warm orange/red colours = GOOD

Low Pressure (lines closer together for stronger winds, pressure sub 1010, cooler blue/green/yellow colours = BAD

This is one run guys -- surprisingly excellent B) , but it needs to consolidate in future output. KEEP ON PUSHING!

(Tis a Panzer type thingy, WWII era :P -- only a replica, no Russian civilians were killed by that particular one ... <_< )

I intentionally went out in hailstones in manchester yesterday without helmet, umbrella or wearing a condom for protection, in a bid to appease the bad weather gods. It's self sacrifices like this that will see us through.

Hammering down in Somerset, grey sky, heavy rain and it is absolutely awful outside, like an October day. This is a good thing as all of the rain is making the ground nice and soft for hammering in tent pegs and for sleeping on, as well as getting it all out of the way so we can have wall to wall sunshine.

Bring on the rain! Lots and lots of it and then stop raining next Sunday and bring out the sunshine please weather gods.

My sacrifice is also no more alcohol until the big day and I spent a fortune yesterday on waterproofs.

another overnight run that looks better than we have had and it was a precipitation outlier, alot more of the ensembles are going for a pressure of 1020 over somerset for the festival period - am positive today :)

I am following my diary notes from last year and it is soooo like this year. To make sure I will be performing an ancient ritual today......laughing at people falling off motorbikes in the rain at the British motor GP ( no bashing just sliding) and watching stupid tennis fans sat outdoors in a monsoon waiting for 2 mins of play whilst imbibing in a couple of Brothers Festival Strengths ( me not the Queens posse....they tend to be more rip off pimms). Surely these sacrifices will appease the rain gods....their misery will ying our yang.
