Surely, more than anyone, EOTR is a festival for Gillian and Mr Rawlings. I was hanging on til the last minute for their inclusion this year, as they're playing London and Belfast right around now. But my disappointment would be tempered if they're on next year's list!

Mr Slip. has some good suggestions also, namely the wonderful Bill Callahan, and Built To Spill, a great great live band.

Gillian Welch!!!!!

Anyone but Mumford & Sons...

I'm sure there will be a fair few bands playing that I know & love - but half the fun of EOTR is checking out new bands. For example this time round the likes of Citay & Elliot Brood were new to me but are now firmly established favourites. So whoever they go for I'm sure it will be good.

Will Oldham, Bill Callahan, Built To Spill, Sufjan Stevens, The National, Beach House & especially Buffalo Tom are great shouts. And how about having a go at getting the mighty Guided by Voices over seeing as they've reformed for the Matador anniversary in the US.

Interesting to see the Mumford & Sons backlash in full swing. Might that be down to the fact that from opening the festival last year (when they hadn't released anything) to going stellar and I think still in the Top 10 Album Chart, there's a feeling they're not "one of ours" anymore? Have they really sold out that badly? Do people think that having M&S on the bill next year might start attracting the Reading/V crowd?

For my part I'm not fussed either way. I've seen them once, at Latitude this year, they were good fun but you could have got the same thing from Elliott Brood at the weekend.

Yeah, no Mumford & Sons please, and although I like them, no Band of Horses either. They play every festival ever so you could catch them anywhere.

In addition to my previous request, I'd love to have Manu Chao, though I'm guessing the chances of him being booked are very slim. Probably more of a Glastonbury act anyway. I'd also like to see:

Dengue Fever actually playing this time

Tindersticks back

Richmond Fontaine back

The Bear Quartet

TV On The Radio playing Wolf Parade's slot this year

Willard Grant Conspiracy

WHY?

Megafaun

The Rural Alberta Advantage

Mew

Port O'Brien

Portico Quartet

Slim Cessna's Auto Club

Reigning Sound

Wovenhand

Kickball

The Mummies

The Wave Pictures

Wild Nothing

Ralfe Band

The Besnard Lakes

Black Moth Super Rainbow

Frank Fairfield again

Just to name a few.

I'm going to make one request on my 2 (and a half, she's very particular about that) daughter's behalf. After I told her we'd booked tickets for next year she looked thoughtful , and said "Good. Will Matt and Kim be there?

They're still her favourite band despite having loved Caribou at Summer Sundae and Django Django at EOTR.

So - Matt and Kim please. They'd be a good afternoon slot, I reckon.

Robert Plant's been mentioned a couple of times and I think he'd sound great headlining on the Garden Stage.New album is wonderful again.

Also Joanna Newsom would be my other fave request. And did anybody read's Simon's fantasy headliner in the programme-getting Captain Beefheart out of retirement, now that would be something!!

Every year I ask...maybe 2011?

- Anais Mitchell

- Ben Christophers

- Hayden

- Scott Matthews (with cover of "When the Day is Done" please)

- David Ford

A great shout for Eddie Vedder solo...what are the chances? Vedder on the Piano stage...hey-zeus I think I may just collapse! :)

Also returns would be good for...

- The Dodos (Tipi Acoustic set)

- Bowerbirds

- Midlake

Plus these guys owe EotR one and would fit perfectly...

- Megafaun

- Ra Ra Riot

- AA Bondy

Swindles and my "realistically potential" headliners are:

- Gomez

- The Decemberists

- Beirut

+ Grizzly Bear, The Shins and Kings of Convenience must be there or thereabouts.

Let the rumour mill start-a-spinning...
