Mystery Jets

They played the Queens Head on Friday night at 8pm after Fanfarlo (who were also good), and it was one of the most amazing gigs I've ever witnessed! Everyone was singing every word to every song, the atmosphere in there was absolutely electric! At times it was a struggle to hear the band over the crowd, especially during 'Two Doors Down'. So glad I chose them over Thom Yorke.

I was there right at the front and although their slot was wayy too short it was terrific with a brilliant crowd. going to see them proper in a few weeks so it got me right in the mood :)

They were brilliant, We were in the second row to the right of the stage and we were surrounded by really big fans as well so we were singing all the words. Thought the crowd was a little lacklustre in the back but there was still a great atmosphere, I think the Jets were chuffed as well and hadn't expected the crowd reaction particularly to their new material. Had a bit of banter on stage too. My brother and I left smiling. :D

one of the must sees for me over the weekend but as some one said, they were playing far away from where i was previous to their set and with the heat i really couldn't be bothered to trek over. got tickets for somerset house next week though so all is not lost! glad it was a good gig

    • I am as well not a fan of these side by side stages. too many people at the same places and you have always people around you who wait for the other stage...
    • If only they could get the Bits area back (and add maximum 5k capacity) the site would feel less crowded.
    • Blame it on the side-by-side setup. There are cases where it works well - got a great location in front of the middle screen for Bexter Dury-Big Thief-Little Simz, just had to move about 20 meters each time for a great location. But on most cases it sucks
    • was happy to swerve the main stages on Saturday, but thought it was fine for The Cure, we just went down the opposite side & got a decent spot close to the front, everyone into it (admittedly a bit off to the side)   a festival that now books Olivia Rodrigo as a surprise set isn't going to get any smaller, for better or for worse it is miles apart from when I was first going   personally I still find the people amazing, never have any hassle & the line ups are always so strong & diverse.  We will definitely return for the 25th anniversary next year!
    • I love this festival but Mordor has got worse and worse to the point now that I dread going there. 10 years ago there just weren’t as many people, as many bottlenecks and there wasnt the need to arrive early to have a decent spot.
