You can pretty much take as much as you want into the campsite, within reason.

And youll be looking at about 3.50-4 quid for a pint, it was 3.50 at Rage Factor

To get cans in the arena just put them inside your trouser waistband and tshirt over the top. Saves over paying for average beer early on in the day.

There is no restriction on alcohol being taken into the campsite (just no glass).

Beer in the arena is £3.80 & is Tuborg (really nice). Might be £4.00 now due to inflation.

They sell Tuborg cold cans in the village just outside the arena for about £5 for 4. They used to sell big crates of Carling & Grolsch but that is no more. Also don't think there is a warm beer for cold beer exchange anymore since Carling pulled out with their sponsorship.

Put cans in your socks (under jeans/trousers) & try to get searched by a female (less likely to pat you down) when smuggling into the arena. Has never failed my in 5 years at Reading.

theyve started selling vodka in capri-sun style pouches aswell. perfect to put in your pants to smuggle into the arena, and good for the environment. win win

the only restriction to how much alcohol you can bring into the campsite is on the sunday (after a certain time i think) but i cant remember how much it was ..

Not all the time, if it's a major queue to get in they may look at some people who are just in jeans & t-shirt and wave you through other times they will do a proper search. Depends on who is at the gate really.

If you take a camp chair in with you for a sit down you can stash stuff in the bag with the chair. I managed to get a 2ltr bag of wine, 3ltr bag of Westons Vintage cider (£7 from Tesco!) & about 4 cans into the arena. Also managed to get 4 cans up each trouser leg once by balancing them on top of each other & walking like John Wayne. I have never been caught.

Also they appear to be getting more vigilant, I was stopped last year trying to get wine thru' the gate. Might have to bite the bullet this year and fizz up at the tents in the Arena.
