SeeTickets (A positive thread)

My experience of them has always been great !

I have seen so many posts slating SeeTickets that I started to do it too automatically. Then it struck me that actually for me they have been really good.

This year will be my 3rd Glastonbury on the trot and every year I've had no toubles getting my tickets and the transaction with SeeTickets has been easy. I have bought plenty of tickets for other events too thru SeeTickets and so far I've never had a problem. I have always bought online and it's been a piece of piss.

I cannot be the only one surely ?

I wonder how many others have never had a problem with See ?

Anyways as I don't think I have ever read a thread on here that has anything nice to say about SeeTickets I thought I should make one.

If you have never had a problem with SeeTickets throw a post up and let us know.

Always been good for me - how long have they been doing it now?

Although this year a friend didn't get his car park ticket with his ticket, but that's not the end of the world, I'm sure they'll send another if he asks them to.

I've not had a problem.

But I do wish they'd use Royal Mail instead. Last year I had to rearrange the delivery, and while it went smoothly i'd rather have popped down to the sorting office to pick up my ticket than arse around near the door all day in case I missed the delivery!

They've always been really nice to me on the phone or by email, and the guy who delivered my ticket was really friendly as well, had a little chat about festivals before he asked me to sign for anything.

I had to rearrange a delivery but that all went fine.

Been using Seetickets (or Wayahead et al) regularly for the best part of 10 years or so and never had a single problem to date ... famous last words and all that  The one and only time that I've had to call them with a minor query and change something on an order, got through straight away at stupid o'clock one night and got a really nice/helpful guy on the line. When I had multiple Glasto tix on order one year that got sorted with no issues or pain whatsoever and Mr.Credit-Card was smartly refunded. Haven't even had any probs with DX/SMS either for that matter, always had all my tix delivered one way or another in plenty of time with no stress. Did have one very last minute order for a London show that ended up as Box Office collection which was a bit of a PITA at the venue but hardly their fault really as I only bought the tix on a whim a couple of days before the show ! All in all, no complaints from me B) I can't actually think of that many companies I could say that about either

I've just remembered - Me & the Missus stayed over at a friend's place on Friday night and at 8.30 on the Saturday morning the doorbell rang and as I was closest, I answered the door and it was the DX man with their tickets. They were out in the back garden (field) so if I hadn't woken up at that time they would have got one of them "I'm sorry I missed you..." cards.

Best thing was though, I asked if he had any deliveries for my address that morning and he rang his office to check. He found out that they had been dispatched Friday and were due for delivery on Monday (and they were).

I've never had a problem with them, even when they used to be called Way Ahead (I'm showing my age now).

My first small gripe is them now using a courier without a pick up point. If they used Royal Mail you could pick them up from local sorting office if you wee out when they called.

My other complaint is why do they wait so long before sending the tickets out? For many events, not just Glasto we book many months in advance but the tickets generally only come in the last few weeks. I'm sure it's the fault of the promoters (not See) but I just don't understand why they do it. Does anyone know?

Never had much of a problme with see (well not that couldnt be sorted out by a nice polite phone call) especially when I generally order tickets from overseas with a foreign credit card/address and get them sent to a uk address.

Also after speaking with the nice DX man who delivered my tickets it became evident how much of a pain in the arse it was trying to deliver so many glasto tickets. Especially when he said that he was getting abuse from some punters coz he was trying to deliver tickets between 8-9am on a saturday morning. what is up with some people.

Well since See have been involved i have never had a problem, had tickets delivered by Royal Mail, DX and SMS all with no problems.

I guess you are more likely to post if you have a problem so it may give the wrong impression.

Dont get me wrong i know people who have had problems with them but not me yet (fingers crossed).

I had an international credit card transaction glitch that could have messed up my whole trip.

Basically, my credit card company rejected the transaction and neither they or See sent me a notice then they did so (about a week after tickets went on sale, after I'd bought them as they went on sale). So, I went for two months thinking I was set and my ticket had actually been canceled. I only found out when I tried to pay the balance!

I had some problems trying to call them, but I reached a VERY nice and helpful lady via e-mail.

She sorted it all out for me and then later helped me figure out how to get the tickets shipped to someone in the UK so I wouldn't have to stand in the long pick up lines at the festival. (MY B&B helped by agreeing to receive them for me and hold until I arrive.)

She was so nice that I sent a note to her boss just to say think you.

She could have blown me off or not stuck with it...but she did and as a result I'm going!

So, no See Tickets complaints from me.

Quite happy.

No problems here

Changed address a few days before the tickets were due (as we are the first in our party to leave) and the envelope came with a sticky label on with the new amended address - they could have said no too late, but happy days all good !

I've never had a problem with See Tickets.

Whilst I am here, I have never had any problems with the police or security at the festival either. Never been robbed, mugged or pickpocketed. My tent has never been set on fire and my neighbours have been lovely every year I've been (since 1990).

Nice to have a positive thread to post on for a change.
