Hi

I am new to wychwood and am confused/worried by the the instruction that the live in vehicle must be in one field and the tent in another. I have a tiny livein vehicle with an awning tent that attaches to the vehicle to make it practical. Can an awning be attached to the vehicle.

Yeah, well aye...it`s ok. They`ve got to have some sort of general rule---i mean otherwise there would be mayhem wouldn`t there?

We`ve had our Meet The Fockers van with awning and a little tent for the boy--its a matter of sense and fairness to others but you`ll have no problem---unless some little exiled Jock Steward gets too big for his Dayglo.....

YES, he means ME.....

....and, as someone who has slung a tunnel awning off the back of an Escort Van for years now, I can definitively tell you that you'll be aok.

NOT at Glastonbury OR Womad - where they have that strange 'bona fide' campervans and caravans only rule - but Wychwood, like 99% of other Festivals, doesn't mind, as long as you've got a live-in vehicle pass ?!?

Strange rule in my opinion - a Transit Van with 4 sleeping bags in it is no more of a potential inferno than a Campervan, with built in Calor Gas Cannisters and wall to wall booze! Methinks it's just some pathetic attempt to keep the 'traveller types' out. That's when we knocked Glasto on the head after years of happy camping !
